That was interesting, I always assumed it was fully scripted, but based on these outtakes it seems like there's a fair bit of improvisation!
So.. still tuning?
No! It's the song.
Just managed to finish the series in 2016. :) Agreed on the music, those two themes were amazing. I was wondering if those had been used earlier in the series, or whether they were written for the finale. Either way, they Worked. (this comment written with the electronic theme and Root/Machine voiceover going in the…
I thought "The OA" was going to be revealed to actually be "DOA".
I liked the early atmosphere and the promise, but I don't regret fast forwarding through the final five episodes.
You're right, I had no idea. Well, here's to hoping that they'll ask her for a guest performance after the baby's birth "this winter".
I love that bit. Usually they whisper softer during the "I will say.." part, which I really enjoy. Definitely no lack of people to skewer in and around the upcoming administration.

It's time that SNL hires Laura Benanti for four years. Her Melania is outstanding, and she already likes hamming it up. :)

"Joseph keeps letting wise men into the manger". That's actually one of the lesser-known miracles, the fact that so many men fit in that manger.
This episode really hit the spot. I already started chuckling when Bobby came on as the cool past lover. The regifting song was perfection, the Hunt for Hillary was great and didn't outstay its welcome, Vanessa's Rachel was hilarious as ever, and the inappropriate Santa songs were catchy (plus: "This isn't great…
That got a nice big laugh from the audience, she timed it well :)
Yeah, personally I would have enjoyed it if they would have included a remake of that weird soundless close up shot of them talking. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
There's a little mistake in your prose, but the wrest is free of errors.
Lots of LOL moments for me in this one. The whole scene where we find out about Lisa was great, including a callback (yes?) to "This is so embarrassing for you!", Jeremy's quick "Thanks for choosing Shulman!" as they rudely push Lisa out the door, and his compassionate "I'm sorry Mindy … command-V is paste". Perfect…
"I look like Zeus was Christened in me." I really enjoyed the Sink sketch. Nice touch that it ended with "Scene" ('seen'). Or am I reading too much into this. :)
I recall being impressed by Bruno Mars before, but did he do any actual live singing last night? A+ for energy level though.
If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Type it on a blog!
Ray: "Daaaaamn Cyril!"
Cyril: "Really? .. You don't .. think it's too much?"
Ray: "I ……. you know, I think it *would* be."
