The SS really does not look too different from a modern BMW, especially from the back. Put a kidney grille on it and people would be praising the brilliance of its understated design.

The Impala is far quieter and more comfortable, which is what American buyers want, like it or not.

If you think the American alterations had anything to do with the UAW, you are clueless about the automotive industry. Literally every foreign market car is changed for the American market, even the ones that are still made in foreign countries.

Funny, because the Impala outsells both the Charger and 300, and has for years. Customers don’t know jack about drive wheels.
