Bear with me:

The total extent of the world of the Witcher, as far as you ever see or hear of in the game or the books, is “the Continent” and Skellige. That’s it. There’s no Witcher-world fantasy equivalent of Africa, Asia, or the Middle East for people of color to come from, you basically have North Western and Northern Europe

Moors? Jesus. The Moors were from Western Africa. Their relationship with Europe is that they occupied parts of Spain. Poland is in Northeast Europe. It has no southern port and is as distant from Spain as it is from Mesopotamia.

Two points.

To be fair, Spain and Poland are about 1800 miles apart, and there sure as shit weren’t a lot of Moores in Poland.

I say this as a liberal, but up until he united with this cabal, he was an apolitical public servant who served his country because he gave a shit. I don’t know what the hell happened to him, but people forget the vast majority of his career he was considered a level headed peace maker well respected on both sides of

It’s a bit unsettling. So much of the national narrative around Dick Cheney has centered on him as an unfeeling, heartless, Machiavellian archetype. Weird to see him and the rest of the leadership looking both so lost and so human. Kind of a reminder that, despite partisan discord and the political lenses we put these

but they’ll probably fire in 10 round bursts like the Apache. Much faster bursts but think of it as 18 cluster bombs that shoot out the front of the plane and don’t really miss. At least for strafing runs. I think if it’s down to guns in A2A engagements then the gun will automatically fire when the target is lined up

And if you look at that study you realize the authors excluded the F-4 and the A7 and then calculated the O&S cost growth based on three times the F-22 costs which will be much cheaper than that of a 5th gen land based fighter + 5th gen carrier fighter + 5th gen STOVL fighter.

I cannot stress enough how inconsequential the F-35 vs F-16 BFM report was without knowing the exact limitations for the BFM engagements.

I’m fortunate enough to have left the Air Force with enough years in (26) to have made some great friends. Many of who still fly the Air Force’s big stuff and fighters. I was tapped for an opportunity to make a move out of the F-16C after 9 years. It was a perfect time to extend my career by 20 years and go plant my

You bring up a pretty great point. Pilots (and their associated aircrews) are notoriously resistant to change. I’m not saying that this helmet (or the F-35 for that matter) are the next hard pill they’ll have to swallow, but I think we’ll find that in 10 years we’ll have pilots that can’t see how it was ever done any

As link manager... I could really use fighter pilots with more link training. “You hate AWACS talking in your ear? You probably should have made sure you were timber sweet while you we’re marshaling and we could cut 80% of the comm out of the equation.”

Tyler, I think your reporting has been spot and GREATLY NEEDED with the F35, but the test pilot’s interview is a little more nuanced and actually positive.

His closing statement lends credence to the fact that the whole MO of the F35 project is to be so advanced that the enemy should never be able to get behind you in

I wouldn’t say that the pilot seems ‘unimpressed’ with anything here. He’s being very matter-of-fact and businesslike about what the aircraft’s capabilities are and how he, as a pilot, utilizes them in the real world.

25 years, or so, ago, I had a hand in ushering in improvements to Link 4 for Marine Hornets to exchange data link information with the Marine TAOC. I cannot tell you how difficult it was for aircrew to accept what was seen as an increase in pilot workload to look at the display and acknowledge receipt of engagement

Judging from your comment, it doesn’t seem like you’ve played Witcher 3. I haven’t played a more immersive game in a long time. Witcher 3 is incredibly polished, even more impressively so due to its size.

I’m sorry but while it’s nice to have mindless vastness it’s far better to have a polished, WELL DESIGNED/DIRECTED game. More is not always better.

What? Almost every quest I’ve done has given the option to do it without pay. In fact, I’ve had the exact opposite experience as you; most of the game has had me conviced that Geralt is an outlier and does most things out of the kindness of his heart.

They should do this with the A10s. If it's to vulnerable as a manned aircraft it'd still be a great drone, also imagine how scary an A10 with no fear of death would be.
