this one is to thebasa (it was to short to reply to):

I saw some breakdown that said that something like 30% of the cost of an iPhone was in the manufacturing which means that the majority of the cost is in parts, shipping and sales. Also, I wasn't proposing that the production move to the US, just to a nation that isn't as oppressive as China. For example Mexico and

I'm gonna go with this guy because he makes me sound like I may be crazy, as opposed to uninformed. Which I have learned from the GOP is always the way to go

80 out of 100 supported it yesterday, with the other 20 on the fence.

Could be that they finally figured out where it will crash, and it will be in a populated metro area. Could be scrambling right now to figure out how to adjust the trajectory while not wanting to cause panic.

oh man, that would be too classic. The only thing is that I don't think it has reentered orbit yet.

amazing

I disagree, especially at the bomb one. I think the B&W of the original makes it a bit surreal. The post card like quality you referenced actually makes that one terrifying to me, because it is suddenly real, I think in the original the beauty of the scene and the stark contrast with that explosion is lost.

Alligator is tasty

I gotta go buy baby seal covers for my baby seal clubbing clubs before their aren't any left to cover my clubs... at least I'll have my baby seal clubbing clubs... oh damnit!

I can't imagine the Captain wanting to have hanger space (which is needed for maintenance, refueling, storage, misc. uses) full of SUV's and sedans during war time. I was just saying though. All I could think of was the USS Forrestal when they were throwing planes off the side because they were on fire.

I think that is a bit of an extreme outcome. I doubt that IPhone sales will drop to 0 if the entry cost went from $200 to $250 with a 2 year contract. Also, I'm not saying that things need to be made here, but if we insist on a decent wage and living standard for the work force that makes our gadgets companies here

If we insist that the people making our products are treated fairly and paid a decent wage, regardless of where they work, you will find manufacturing on the rise in this country pretty quickly.

If there were some kind of an emergency (like Russia just invaded Europe) those would all be going over the side... which is a bit ridic.

Yeah, I shouldn't have said 'in dash' since what I meant was a fully functioning HUD, but makkura makes my point

I'm thinking in dash navigation

To my knowledge google doesn't own the winner's designs/products (case and point is Virgin Galactic). Also, outside of Virgin's case most competitors aren't designing new technologies, they are repackaging current technologies and using them in ways or in conjunction with other tech that is new and innovative.

I thought the battery would expire/corrode by then

As a follow up I would think this is a test firing range based on the attitude of the motors and the fact that there are two sets side by side.
