Well, you look at articles like this one [articles.cnn.com] and you realize that we have actual laser platforms already in use thanks to this research.

They're working on the sentient computer as hard as they can! It is expensive to develop something so ground breaking. Give them a break... yikes :)

Are you serious? It was a test bed for next gene weapons tech. They proved that you can have an air portable, medium range directed energy system that can take down airborne targets. It was always assumed that this would be scaled down and integrated into more agile platforms.

I agree completely. But to answer your original question, event though they may not always be enforced patents do work in the way you so incredulously outlined.

The aftermarket fix you linked to could very well be in violation of a patent and they just never got sued. That happens all the time, there are loads of ripoff products on the market. That may not even be for sale anymore as it is a youtube video, etc.

like right?

Arachnid conspiracy... interesting. Have you been tested for psychic abilities yet?

Ok, seriously, IMO that was clearly a spoof on Rebecca Black's Friday and was possibly done to be intentionally awful in that context. If so I think it is actually pretty clever even though spoofing an AWFUL music video/song does require you to go pretty low.... and they went... pretty low here.

I'm pretty sure LGA has an exemption to that since a few of their runways are technically to short (as is) for 737's but they got an exemption to allow them to land there.

Again, you are finding loopholes to your original question.

I don't see your point. That is an after market thing that isn't built into the car. Even if it isn't patent infringement (which it may be) there is a reason you don't see cars sold with those already installed and hard wired into the car (wirelessly doing it is a different technology)

What we need are big wars where our friends and enemies get obliterated but our manufacturing and food production are protected by the Atlantic / Pacific. Then we can give them tons of stuff after the war to rebuild with (which helps our employment / manufacturing) and they can owe us money for it later (which helps

We never sold weapons to the axis during world war II, we did do Lend Lease but that was only for England and Russia.

You are a little misinformed. They are no longer sitting on the sidelines, they are now actively repressing their own people.

You couldn't do it in the major airports around NYC. Those runways are already shorter then the city would like (extending them means building out into the Water, either the Long Island sound for LGA or NY Harbor for Kennedy).

If the very first people to make a car (with 4 wheels and a steering wheel) did patent it then they would be the only ones making cars in that form factor.

You're never alone curves... why I bet you have a whole host of stalkers on this website!

I'll give you that last one, and the voice was an issue in the first one so I don't consider that a fault of the second movie, more of the franchise.

dude i'm sorry for you cause that movie was awesome. this is honestly the first negative remark i've ever heard about it

Point taken, which is why the ejection handle is there but then it should be a big green nob or something, not a little metal pin
