This is called carbon capture and storage. It is not new and this lady didn't come up with it.

You get cable from AT&T?
i would bet another shark, possibly when he was a lot smaller.
Why is there a civilian version lol
Unless none of them are manned ;) For routine patrols why do you need men in the seat when you have remote controlled humvees with wireless controlled turrets.
I think Giz and you may be underestimating the balls of our military. They may start deploying unmanned convoys with remote controlled turrets for force projection on routine patrols. Manned missions may be reserved for smash and grab. I was expecting this years ago for the fuel convoys.
Or you begin to associate doors with said traumatic event... which would lead to some deep psychosis I would think.
Hey, they had a black guy, he got blown up but he was an xman for like 5 minutes.
Awesome.
2 things.
Think of it this way, we produce 100% of power at peak demand (during the day) and about 60% of power in the morning, evening and overnight. That means we have 40% spare capacity for offpeak charging.
Either way we need a way to get that thorium power to cars, that way is going to be batteries baring some unforeseen technological improvement.
Until a proof of concept, other then the sun, is provided we need to start our shift now. Even if we use fusion for our grid power, we still need to transition the cars onto the grid to take advantage of that.
I'm talking about replacing combustion engines with batteries. We can source energy supply globally (not just from a few countries that happen to have easily portable sources such as oil) and we can also work to improve gird efficiency once we are using it for both mobile and static power consumption. Until then,…
Lithium is extremely abundant first off. Second, the last data I reviewed showed that the grid, per kilowat hour of power delivered, is actually a little cleaner in regard to particulate matter then your average internal combustion engine per kilowat hour delivered. This is due to the scrubbers that are now required…
One of these breakthroughs needs to come to market already and kill the internal combustion engine. End of story, it would be a game changer. Just eliminating the massive trade deficit we have with oil producing countries would be worth it.
That is probably it, funny how I never heard of this, apparently neither did Sam. Hard to find an article on it even lol.
Put it this way. A huge amount of the research funding that these early level trials and development work depend on is grant money from the government. Either directly from the Gov or through an intermediary that is distributing grant money on behalf of the Gov.
Thaty'll get you a heart sir
If I could promote this harder I would
