I'm tired of hearing the song on the damned radio all the time.

You read my mind.

I love Sharon and "voted" the moment it was announced last night. Go Team Needles!

I had a similar bad reaction to the Hep B vaccine when I was ten—puking, fever, completely weak, arm hurt like a bitch.

Personally, I believe that anyone who doesn't want to vaccinat their child should have to visit hospitals in Third World countries and sit with the children crippled by polio, scarred by measles, the adults on IV drips for pain because they contracted adult-onset chicken pox. See the mothers and fathers weeping for

As I said unthread, yes, I hold them to the same standard. Your rights end when you infringe upon the rights of others, in this case, your child's right to a healthy life. Not vaccinating is no different, to me, than not getting life-saving medical care because of your religion: it's unfair and cruel to the child.

Except that you can't just vaccinate at birth—and infants who aren't age eligible for vaccination have and will die because someone made a misinformed choice. Herd immunity is for those too young or allergic and unable to get vaccinations themselves.

Agree about Obama. He's done wonderful things for the military.

This exactly.

I understand what you're trying to say: being pissed off is a way of her not having to focus on her grief. As someone who lost my father very suddenly last year, I understand that idea: focus on some emotion other than grief and it's pain. It makes sense.

Shatner's cover is better.

When did I say porn was sex?

So, now I'm going to call my period Schrödinger's Baby...

Yes, but the Bush twins had the advantage of having Laura Bush, who it turns out, is pretty liberal and kinda cool as a person.

Similarly, I always imagined GHWB's relationship with Dubya as that of Red Foreman and Eric.

OMG, size 14 E-cup girl here. THANK YOU (both!) for that site suggestion. Had to Google it though—your link reversed the t and the k! :)

And yet the military is constantly whinging about not having enough troops and the difficulty of meeting recruitment quotas.

And that's why personal anecdotes are as valuable in deciding the truth as eyewitness testimony.

Never underestimate researching a school and writing a love letter to the school as your personal essay (if you aren't forced to choose a topic, of course.)

No. I figured this out a long time ago...
