Really enjoyed the NPR first listen. I find that Aimee has one of the most assuring voices.

Put on Ege Bamyasi yesterday while doing the laundry… always forget how great Can and specifically that album is. Otherwise I've been running through some electronic bands in advance both of the Operators show I'm going to tonight (!!) as well as my new synth coming in next week (!!!).
Can't go wrong with The Raincoats. My local record store keeps trying to recommend Soft Moon to me and I keep on instantly forgetting the name of the band when I leave. Worthwhile?
I just want them to merge the Jessica Jones and Apartment 33 universes…. I don't know how this could ever work but the Marvel Universe could really use some levity and I've been missing that show recently. Also some kind of a Marc Andre "Ranch Man" hero… Maybe I'll pitch it to the Tick writing team..
I'm super excited to see Future Islands this weekend in Baltimore!!! And am eagerly anticipating the new Feist album both based upon the excellent single as well as the fact that she has never let me down in the past. I like the direction of stripping it back a bit even if it means minimal Chilly Gonzales. BTW……
I feel like entry point is critical for a NP fan to transfer to a Destroyer fan. I you only checked out some of his recent albums (Kaputt onwards) the transition may be too great. I'd recommend Streethawk or Rubies as a more appropriate starting point. Then move to 'This Night' or 'Your Blues'. After that delve…
I'm a bit wary of the new album…. I have not heard any of the singles yet but I feel that Hi-Rise from Brill Brusiers was one of the worst NP songs I've heard and really did not dig much beyond the Bejar songs on the last album. I prefer AC in full-on guitar power pop and I know he's not interested in guitars right…
Real talk… Over the last 5 years I've probably listened to Hail to the Thief more then any other Radiohead album I own because of its variety. Great album!
Silly me thought that listening for the first time to that Mount Eerie album today at work was a good idea. Got two songs in and then had to switch to something else. I'll have to finish that one up later where I can watch some Pizzicato Five videos on Youtube afterwards to cheer me up.
Currently obsessing over Black Moth Super Rainbow. Not sure how this band flew under my radar as their musical touch-point's of BoC, Stereolab, general nostalgia for 80's cartoon themes, are way up my alley. I've got their albums 'Start a People' and 'Dandelion Gum' on repeat. Also digging King Gizzard & the Lizard…
In other news, 'Ghetto Geppetto and the Holy Zucchetto' will be the name of my next music project.
I will absolutely be at the DC show! This will be a great addition to Arduous' Birthday month extravaganza…
I've got season 1 on DVD so its not time to panic just yet…. Not sure if season 2 ever came out on DVD though.
Well… Jesus was crucified on Googletha… think about it. Would also accept Mozilla as 'Firefox' is my personal nickname for Elizabeth Hurley.
I thought he was Chrome?
My coworker asked me why I was laugh-crying and I had to explain this whole album and the concept of mash-ups to him… That song is kind of amazingly inspirational…
That comment, my Darwin, is totally off Lamarck.
Spoon is back!!
I know… my landlords been all up in my face about 'mold fungus forests' this and 'sentient dust bunnies' that….
Listened to this album while cleaning last weekend for the first time in about 7 years. What a great album! The songs are so catchy you can't get them out of your head (in a good way). Don't have any of their other albums. I recall giving a few a cursory listen at the time and not picking them up. Any…
