CDs are pretty cool to put into the microwave.

Yeah. Raincoats and Beat Happening were probably the most rewarding for me out of all the bands Cobain introduced me to back in the 90s.

Well put. I anticipate and enjoy all new Wilco releases for this very reason. Tweedy and company can be unpredictible in the style while at the same time bring musical talent and a solid song writing base to whatever new genre/style they choose.

I picked up YHF when it came out and liked it enough but I was hooked after A Ghost is Born. Still probably the Wilco album I listen to the most. That being said, I do feel that Summerteeth is the best entry point into Wilco and is one of the catchiest albums of all time. Being there is also solid.

I picked the Unicorns album up awhile ago, listened to it a few times and then forgot about it. I found the album kind of irritating actually though there was some catchy stuff. Not worth any cult status in my opinion.

I still listen to the White Rabbits!! The first two albums are great. They lost me on there third one though…. I still remember the show I saw back in the day with Spoon, The Walkmen and White Rabbits which was one of the best line-ups ever.

Does this mean that Jack Black's Jerry-de-magneto is the 5th Defender? Keeping Passaic, NJ safe from asshole copyright lawyers….

Thanks. I also do not have Hulu but really want to catch up on the show so maybe I may give it a try for a few months at some point. My… *ahem*… sources for watching the show dried up after season 5 which was a pretty amazing season for a 15 min kids show.

Tough week for a couple of bands I love including Stereolab, Spoon and Sunset Rubdown. The only Stereolab I would consider getting rid of would be 'space-age bachelor pad' and 'microbe hunters' and I have several of their albums on multiple formats. I love all my Spoon albums from the half album I created from

I'm not a big documentary buff at all and I enjoyed it. Agreed that you need to watch a few as the best stuff is in the middle and end of the season. Plus, the Al Capone day in Iceland was genuinely heartwarming. I'm looking forward to the new season to start so I can watch it in a year and a half from now on

Looking forward to Car Seat Headrest in September coming through Baltimore..

I caved and streamed it illegally even though I try and not do that anymore… Fargo is such a great show though and the waiting was killing me.

Agreed. Absolutely! But I was defiantly the right age for the cartoon when I watched it initially. I'm still waiting on the third season to come out on DVD.

That part cracked me up… I'm looking forward to this. I even took the long annoying survey to do my part to get this picked up and I'd recommend others do it as well if they liked it.

Nice! I'll take your Cosmopolis (great movie by the way) and raise you a 3 Women by Altman to complete the mind-fuckery through allegorical film making trifecta… just don't watch then all in one night.

I watched Barton Fink in the early days of Netflix when all they had were the mail order DVDs. I remember seeing it twice over the span of a week and then a few weeks after I returned the DVD I bought it from the bargain bin at Best Buy because I couldn't stop thinking about it.

33 1/3 and 45 and 78 clearly…

Upvoted for Vigilambics

I find Peep show less cringe-worthy then Curb your Enthusiasm….

While Tyranny has some of my favorite Ted Leo songs, I agree that Hearts of Oak and Shake the Sheets are his two best albums.
