They claim: “As of 2019-12, CIG has a total of 604 staff working on Star Citizen.”
Your description of developer hell sounds like other projects I’ve read about — and of course, if you were working for EA on UO, you were probably working during some of the time period EA Spouse wrote about.
Only if you think the median employee of CIG makes between $100K and $165K per year.
“That is all they took in over all those years. Now factor the expenses against this, and the sum dries up extremely quick.”
No, it doesn’t. First of all, it’s not all they’ve taken in. Full estimates for funding on SC suggests they’ve raised around $465M for the game. Second, no, it does not cost $192 - $196M per year…
The reason games typically launch with relatively little attention paid to the endgame is because it’s never clear how many people will reach it.
When people have no power at home and they use electric ovens, hot cooked food is absolutely essential, especially when it’s below freezing outside. The fact that they happened to cook pizza is incidental to the fact that yes, people needed this food.
“They “couldn’t” due to current western ageism, not real consent, interest, or ability in the parties.”

It’s a sensible strategy. If he can pressure Georgia to give in, other states might be willing to follow suit. If he can get GA to raise unfounded issues, the same might happen elsewhere.
Sections that stagger below 15 fps. Long stretches of game that run below 20 fps. 10-20 second texture pop-in. Rampant bugs. Unplayable missions, hard crashes — I’ve seen multiple reports of people who claim the game has crashed their systems anywhere from once a day to 10x a day. (All of this is referencing the…
I’ve been thinking about this myself. I don’t really feel like the next-gen of consoles have launched, either.
Have you played it? Because according to many people who have, it’s unplayable between the enormous amount of bugs and the enormous amount of crashes. There’s also the fact that CDPR lied its butt off back in the October 2020 investors meeting about the state of the game.
Arkham Knight, in 2015. Warner Bros pulled it from Steam and all other digital distribution platforms:
VR and ray tracing are not compatible, and VR has only had two pushes — one with Nintendo’s ill-fated Virtual Boy, and the more recent push that began in earnest in 2016.
