Hate to sound picky, but "Burke's Law" wasn't a legal drama. It was a cop show. Mind you, the cop — Amos Burke, played by Gene Barry — was a very, very rich cop. (He was driven in a Rolls Royce to crime scenes. No I'm not making that up.) But a cop show nonetheless.

Second the love for Mimi Leder's work on "E.R." Years ago, when I interviewed George Clooney for "The Peacemaker," he sang Leder's praises enthusiastically, saying she more or less made dialogue scenes look like action scenes on the series. And that's why he was big on her directing "Peacemaker."
