He caused his own death.  The criminal just had to stand still and be arrested, period.  Instead he decided to take his chances and run which resulted in his death.  Stupid decision wins stupid prize

Actually, many expired plates and such are driven by people who have commited violent crimes or wanted by warrants. That’s why the police try to stop them.

One doesn't know what they're feelings are until they themselves are in that situation.  My sister was the victim of an attempted car jacking.  The guy had a gun, she was at a stop light and he opened the door telling her to get out.  She tried to comply but because she was afraid and panicking, she forgot to unlatch…

Punishment only applies if they get caught.  Many times they don't and go on to commit more violent crimes 

Some studies show that approx 85-95% of all violent crime is committed by 2-4% of the populace.  So i don't see a problem when these guys are killed.  It's better for everyone

I did some racing in my early years and i fully understand driving at the limit, dancing on the edge and not being able to brake at the limit being that the car would spin but some of the crashes seemed that the driver had just enough room after stabilizing the car out of the corner to brake. 

Maybe it’s the camera angle but it certainly appeared that there was enough room and time to avoid some of the cars, Especially at the end of the twitter clip. It looked like they wanted to be bumper cars

Even with computer control of braking and turning as such, it's not that easy.  If you ever see a road race from inside the cockpit, the driver is constantly making adjustments to the wheel and accelerator.
