I think I need to get my hearing checked because I would have sworn that Ken bet $1500 on the "one land border" double jeopardy and then he got $5800. I went back and listened twice and both Ken and Alex say it. Not really any impact on the game, just made me think I was going crazy.

Huh, I felt the exact opposite. I thought he swept through the last eight to ten clues (which were all low dollar value) or was at least attempting to buzz in, but I may be remembering it wrong.

That's a good idea. My fix for this was to show the correct numbers for each item and show what the players are entering.

I know Jeopardy isn't necessarily supposed to be fair, but you have to feel for the contestants pitted against a Brad or Ken. All the contestants are champions, but a juggernaut can do what Brad did in this game - eliminate almost any hope of getting a wild card slot.

I tend to agree. Trey was fine, but the addition of fresh perspectives and voices has been nice.

Well, I think we have seen situations that would have played out differently if you could do this. Also, Jeff doesn't ask anyone if they want to play an idol before reading votes for a revote.

It is completely fair since everyone knows that is how it works and have developed the split vote strategy to combat the power of the idol.

No, you can't play an idol on a revote.

In the event of a tie, the players voted for don't vote and the remaining players revote based on these options. In this case, Spencer, Jeremiah, and LJ would not have voted. Tasha may have still voted LJ and the five majority alliance members probably target Spencer, sending him home.

Why did he need Woo to flip too? If everything had gone according to the majority alliance's plan, it would have been 3-3-3. Tony flips and it's now 4-3-2 and LJ goes home.

Hooray for the three team seasons!

I feel like this move came a week too early, but I am not sure if it is going to hurt Tony that much. I still see paths to the end for him, but the big danger with pulling the trigger on this so early is potentially causing people to see him as untrustworthy and unlikeable. You do that (especially the second one)

I was laughing pretty hard already, but the striped hats line killed me.

We've been building to this ever since she bought all of Tony's lies in episode 2. I had such hopes for her too after the initial double-length episode.

Yeah, while I can relate to the frustration he must be feeling, it's definitely not something you can verbalize at that point. Especially since Kass's move was mostly to take down Sara and not necessarily against anyone else on that alliance (not that Spencer knows that).

Was anyone else getting some serious overconfidence vibes from the Brains this episode? The confessional with Kass giving the episode title was a pretty bad offender, but Tasha was seriously overplaying her hand at tribal. It was happening so much, I started to half-wonder if the Beauties and Sara would get sick of

I think your second paragraph encapsulates Tony's entire game. It will probably be on his Survivor epitaph when he's voted out "Something smart followed by something stupid"

I listened to an interesting interview with Kathy (I think it was Rob Cesternino's Micronesia reunion) where she said that she hid from the producers that she was on mental health medication and quit cold turkey the day she left for the game. Makes a lot of sense in retrospect.

Given the way Parvati, Cirie, and Amanda all reacted with shock and horror at the announcement of the final two, it was a surprise.
