I think M. Night has pigeon-holed himself into having a “twist” into his movies, to his own detriment. I sometimes wonder if The Village would have been more liked had it not been made by him. Going into every Shyamalan movie, the audience is going to be looking out for and trying to second-guess the twist, and often

I can toast some bread for breakfast, but I ain’t opening up a restaurant.

I think in relation to networks, this has more to do with advertisers than paid subscription services/streaming. I don’t think the show runners have any say when an episode can air. Not to mention, ad dollars dictate how much is spent on any given show/time slot.

“Her line before she died, “never even asked you to feel the same” (or something close) made it clear they were physically intimate, and she wanted to be emotionally involved as well but he’s too shut down.”

Even without the cinderblock coming down on the car, they had also laid down a makeshift tire-spike trap. Just based on Joel and Tess’ smuggling history, one could safely assume, he can smell a trap when he sees it. Not to mention, a guy walking out into the middle of the road, is total bait.

One of my local NJ pizza spots was co-owned by a man and wife who sold pot and cannabis infused products over the internet shortly before they were legalized in the state. They were busted when I believe, the man’s brother(the other owner of the restaurant) ratted on them.

If you remember circa 2003, you can see how the outbreak got out of control. You’re probably right that the food distribution lines didn’t mean that everything his shelves at the same time all over the world, but the news cycle and more remote/rural places didn’t get word until it was too late.

In the header image, Safran looks like a mannequin that was given life.

You’re a danger to yourself and everyone on the streets!!! But dammit son, I respect the hell out of ya!

Which is why the trope is hilarious to me in fiction. The “rebel” trope would normally be seen as a sociopath, instead of a plucky hot shot hero. Not saying that’s the case here, but the parallels are too rich to not point out.

This is totally the part in a movie, where the rebel got the job done and higher ups don’t condone it...but recognize it was effective and a little badass.

I might not need a whole spin-off show or mini-series, but maybe a movie would be a nice cap-off to their story. I would be really interested in seeing Bill’s recovery after the gunshot. How Frank managed to get by while Bill recovers and possibly a standoff against the the remaining raiders that evening(or rest of a

I don’t understand the overwhelming appeal either. If it was a small niche thing, sure. However, the location by me always has a line out of the window and to me, they’re like hardened over, flat cupcakes.

I always thought TLoU game, was brutal yet beautiful, for the human moments that shine through the misery. TLoU the show, is absolutely beautiful, for the quiet human moments in a miserable world.

I want to star this, but as of right now, there’s 69 likes and it’s only appropriate.

Don’t agree with a bunch on this list, but have to add below. Also have to add that Advent Children is not an adaptation but an actual sequel to the game:

The reset of the season could come crashing down in a all over HBO and the premiere episode is still arguably better than most video game adaptations.

Not so much a saving, but an anecdote of trolling. An old employer of mine had banned the employees from using social media sites on work computers, due to “abuse of internet privelges”. Which, fine, but I felt like a better reason would have been for “possible security issues”, but okay, no big deal.

My job used to order us Panera for lunches randomly and they’ve gotten sadder in recent years TBH. The sandwiches feel scaled back, with less heft but the prices are higher. I think if I had to go to a Panera and get myself some lunch, I would opt for their broccolli cheddar soup. That was genuinely the most

Panera has always been on the pricier side, so I’m surprised it’s not actually more than that. Also, not sure if these sandwiches qualify, but normally a sandwich or salad also gets you a choice of fruit, chips or bread on the side.
