True to a point. Those that are rich enough to not actually “do” anything also don’t bother visiting the dealership. They pay someone to do that for them.
A lot of the difference in price you mention could just be normal differences in price by location/region. I’m an avid #2 combo from McDonald’s orderer. I’m surprised at how much the price varies at different locations, even within the same city, before taxes.
Alright, I’ll stop complaining about the small chip I got in the windshield of my new Acadia Denali after only 200 miles.
They just want some indication that you have the money. Asking what you do is a more polite way of getting that answer. Honestly, most sales people would likely be just as happy with an answer of “I’m a drug dealer.” as compared to “I’m an executive at suchandsuch.”
LOL! Never picked up on that but that’s a good point.
I can understand being underwater on a brand new car. It’s going to lose a some when you drive it off the lot. For example, The 2017 Acadia Denali I bought in February is likely slightly under water. I paid $43k for it with no trade or down payment (no trade because gave previous car to daughter). So I financed it…
My inlaws live in Alaska and they travel to the Midwest often, and we in turn travel up there often. On the trips from Alaska to the Midwest we always have at least two suitcases packed full of fish/crab/shrimp. Never have any problems as checking seafood out of Alaska is quite common. But on the trips from the…
Long time Royals fan and season ticket holder. So glad to see them on this streak but I’m not getting my hopes up as they’ve been so up and down. They have a tendency to all suck at the same time and all get hot at the same time.
My daughter is 18. Recently her longtime (4 years) boyfriend moved in with us because he didn’t have the best of options at home. We can provide him a comfortable home while they both start college in the fall. Anyway, what happens in their bedroom is their business. I’d be an idiot to think nothing happens. I’ve…
Believe it or not there are plenty of auto shops not tied to dealerships. They are often cheaper and provide better work too. As for warranty type work, Tesla doesn’t have traditional dealerships and they still offer a way to get the repairs done.
Am I the only one that wants wipers on every window? Not just the front and back, but the sides as well.
And that is why the dealer model needs to just die already.
You’re delusional if you don’t think that he is the only politician to do this. Abusing the office is SOP for pretty much every single political figure, regardless of party affiliation.
When dealership and salesperson SOP started being to try and treat all customers as idiots and screw them out of every possible penny instead of treating starting with a fair and transparent deal then yes.
I figured that was everywhere. It’s been that way in every state I’ve lived in.
Got a truck in Missouri? No need for a rear plate, only a front. Leave it to Missouri to fuck that one up.
What if the trade in is valued at about $6k? How does that work with a lease? I’ve never leased before and I actually started considering leasing one of these a few weeks ago.
If I have a non-FCA vehicle at home but want to trade in an FCA vehicle would I still qualify for the Conquest Cash?
So when you point that out do you mean that it’s set to a point that you won’t actually be able to negotiate in real life? Or will they actually use such a high residual? Because I’m actually considering leasing one of these, even before I saw this article.
