Help me Oppo. I have 2 kids in need of cars. I’ve always been a new car kind of person for myself. But for the daughter I went cheap on used cars. Well 3rd one in 4 years and it needs replaced. My son is also turning 16 later this year.
I’ve been thinking about attending a Starting Line event near me and then going to a few Autocross events with my new Buick Regal GS. I’m sure it will be incredibly fun. But is it a bad idea to take such a new and nice car?
I said yesterday I’d review this Renault I rented. Be prepared for mediocrity.
So I’m in Brazil for work for a few weeks and I decided to head to Maresais for the long holiday weekend. It never gets old to me that there is free emergency roadside WiFi available here. My kids would be thrilled.
So my new GS has brake issues. Not even 1000 miles yet. Sounded to me like a bad wheel speed sensor causing the ABS to activate at low speed braking on dry pavement. But after 2 days in the shop they still can’t determine the true issue. I guess they spent a long time on the phone with techs at GM and the…
It’s a Buick, so that must mean I’m old right? But it’s a Regal GS so that’s got to count for something. Still, it did draw my elderly neighbors outside to take a look.
I’ve decided to trade in my truck for a small compact with a manual. I need better gas mileage than the 12mpg I get with my truck plus I really have no need for a truck. I plan on only having this new compact for 2 years then giving it to my son when he turns 16. Then I’m going to get myself a midlife crisis sports…
So you may recall a certain post by me a few weeks ago by me about an old dude who hit my wife’s car. Well my luck of bad Missouri drivers continues.
If you aren’t aware, teens need no form of organized driver’s education to get a license in the great state of Missouri. Just have your parent’s state they gave you instruction, pass an extremely basic driving test, and you’re granted a license.
Every parent goes through it eventually. A child turns 16 and gets their license. For some parents, it’s also a time to buy that child their first car. For me, it’s turned out to be a terrible mistake.
Your guess is as good as mine for what this does but it looks awesome.
This thing doesn't mess around. It'll rip shit up. I'm sure it costs more than the gross national product of some countries too.
So I'm at CONEXPO. I don't know shit about construction. But there are big cool trucks here. I don't know what any of it really does but I'll post some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
My wife is going for work and I'm tagging along. It's not really automotive related but there will be some awesome construction equipment and trucks on display. I plan on taking some pictures of the cooler stuff. Would anyone around here be interested in me doing a post with some pictures from the expo?
I'm blaming it on her because she was the last one to drive my truck. She drove it to work last Wednesday so I could get the oil changed in her car. It sat in the garage until this morning when I went to leave for work. The battery (new this summer) was dead. And when I got it started the Check Engine light came…
You're doing it wrong.
Insert Yo Dawg meme about boats in your boat here.
Hauling a big load.
2010 Fusion SEL with every option but navigation and AWD. I wanted a Sport instead but my wife vetoed it because the Sport didn't have a power passenger seat. It's her car so I didn't argue much. Picture was taken day I bought it in 2010 when it had a grand total of 32 miles on it.
