This looks like the successor to the f80 m3 to me, which is a good thing.

You read me backwards.
If I’m reading this right they did a wheels/suspension/brake/tire package and a bunch of questionable trim/coloring and charged $16k for it to add “emotion” to the vehicle?
Mechanically and functionally, I love it. But that’s alot of interior design compromises that you’d have to live with every day....for $46k and change.
I’m going to skip commenting on price, but that weight is insane. Ford did something groundbreaking years ago with Aluminum bodies and, I think, weight-savings of ~800 pounds. In that 2015 MY, the weight of the f150 was 4,093-4900 pounds according to Ford online resources. Autoblog listed a supercab 3.5 liter turbo…
Ford focus owners?
It’s 2022, are people still talking about dyno results as if they are not one of the most poorly controlled and irrelevant benchmarks in all of automotivedom?
Can anyone provide a real comparison between the old CTR and the VW Golf R.
Imma go ahead and say this...
I voted ND due to the transmission, but the overall package is quite appealing.
I own a 2018 Honda Odyssey and a 2019 Jeep Wrangler (man...what happened to me....i used to be calling out 911/M5/M3/Legacy GT ownership....)
Where’s the analysis on how the lack of available low cost options is itself a reason to make some payments to prevent re-possession?
I’m going to lean strongly into fairly contentious position here: I’ve heard terrible sounds out of cheap cars, but what most offends me is sports cars that sound terrible....
With an 80s mercedes (Hi Maren Morris!), that interior could look like that with 190k miles on it.
If you can arrange for me to get a test drive at a local dealer, I’ll give you my take. I stopped TRYING to test drive things - one of my favorite past-times - because it’s just not going to happen anytime soon.
I had a 2006 Civic SI brand new and drove it nearly 120k miles. I then had an e39 m5, an f80 m3, and a 997 turbo 6mt.
If I had to make an investment bet on a similar car, I’d take a 740 M-Sport and convert it to a 6-speed manual and, as long as the swap was done cleanly, I’d bet on it appreciating over 10+ years while not costing me an arm and a leg.
If he didn’t run it long like that, clean ‘er up, flush ‘er out, start ‘er up, and ride it out.
Here’s an idea for Infiniti - put this in the letter:
So many peeps are knocking the motor....there’s not alot of 8000rpm v8 engines with 6 speed manuals out there, as well as plastic timing chains guides. We don’t know if the motor shit the bed due to a money shift, timing chain guides, or something else.
