When you are that far into the dash, it makes total sense to replace every light in it with something new, LED or otherwise. 

I think it is often cost prohibitive. For those with only one car or perhaps money tied up in multiple projects, it seems unnecesary and costly to buy right around Tax and Christmas time. Do your research on the all seasons and replace on time and you will have decent success all year long.

Considering the American 2 door cars at the time were mostly 5 liters or less in 1988, I suppose it could be considered Big and Honking. It certainly made more HP than even the 5.7 GM Tuned Port lame duck. 

i would say that is the same for Full BEV, including this one. I would wonder what a replacement or upgraded battery might cost installed. I would probably rather have an ICE 2K car to be honest though.
