Kickstand...? It's a phone not a bicycle...
DING DING DING DING!!!
The Surface seems more of a MacBook Air competitor than an iPad competitor. Articles such as these suggest that the authors are confused as to what the Surface is actually trying to compete with, the iPad or the MacBook Air. They go on to spew articles and jaunt back and forth, never entirely comparing it to one or…
I can't wait to see the first person try to use this thing in their lap at an event... The kickstand won't keep it up, the keyboard won't sit very well, and the whole thing will be flat and angled down as the user awkwardly types and tries to keep it stable.
EXACTLY!!! This is all I could think about when I saw that kickstand (think beach cruiser bicycle not BMX bike) and keyboard... how do you put the thing in your lap when a table or desk is not available. How do you use the keyboard when you're at home sitting on your couch?
The answer is... No. It will have Cut The Rope though!
Great response. I'm not a big player and I don't eat and breathe this stuff, but I was confused as hell at the VERY DIFFERENT versions and why it looks the same, smells the same, but tastes completely like it came from 2 different animals different.
Who can wait 9 months after a concept is introduced. Execution in the mobile phone and laptop arena is having your product ready to go with launch date and price in hand.
The difference between Apple and MS in this arena are that Apple announces price and release date during the meeting. They not only announce the date, but that date is so soon after that excitement builds and does not wane prior to release.
That is nuts! I have a mouse and keyboard. Occasionally I'll plug in an external hd and some other things but they don't need plugged in all the time. Do you honestly need blue tooth, 2 hard drives, all of your portables, and a device to charge ALL the time?
You are wrong!
"It's not really about making money either — it's about introducing people to their system and to get them hooked."
I'll easily trade the feature sets over the OS versions...
So pretty much what you're saying is that compared to the Mercedes E63 AMG, the CTS-V has a better 0-60 and 1/4 mile time, the Lamborghini Gallardo has a higher quality interior, the Porsche 911 has better handling, the Hyundai Genesis is cheaper, and the Dodge Caravan has more room. Thank you Gizmodo for pointing…
Yes I want an ethernet port that is "more faster"!
Bingo... I want to buy 20 different ultrabooks, combine them all together like the prototype Ironman built in the desert and ask them to make it sleek, sexy, and have an amazing trackpad and user interface all for under $1500 for a 13".
The blades are asymmetrical and because they are at different frequencies the sound is not amplified by having multiple fans at the same frequency.
In what world is Apple or any i products regarded as "cheap"? There is no reason to cannibalize themselves even further with the demands of a product that isn't in the profit margins they are used to. Dollar for dollar, Apple will never compete on price.
But I like dingleberries... I mean, dongles...
The BYU guy hates it on top...
