I also played Super Metroid a bit late, around 2000 or so. But far from finding it overrated, it quickly earned a spot on my favorite games of all time. Same goes with Final Fantasy VI and Yoshi’s Island. For some reason, SNES games are evergreen - they seem to get in that sweet spot between ugly-pixels-NES and

I disliked the combat of Witcher 1 and it felt dated when I played it back in 2011.  I loved the story of TW2 and it’s my favorite story wise although I enjoyed 3 greatly too.  The DLC in 3 is like it’s own game and Hearts of Stone is awesome.  Still need to play the final DLC one of these days.

I honestly can’t believe anyone would enjoy playing TW1 after playing 2 and 3.

The big problem with the first was that no matter how much you upgraded you always had only one way you could kill anything and the stun locking with every hit made taking on multiple enemies impossible. Dark Souls rewarded you for figuring out the best ways to kill something, using the environment, and figuring out

Dammit dammit dammit! I’m starting to feel like the third-person perspective for RPGs is just dying out. I figured “Hey, I generally can’t stand open-world stuff, but at least CDPR can be relied on for a third-person RPG experience. I’m so starved for it I’ll try anything!” and BAM! First f’ing person.

I’m so torn on this because I hate first person games. I’m the guy that has to play Fallout in third person because I need to see the world around me and not just what’s in front. But I’ll give CDPR the benefit of the doubt since Wild Hunt is one of my favorite games ever. I just wish Cyberpunk had the Fallout 1st/3rd

For everyone asking about platform.

I thought the whole point of the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X were that they weren’t planning to release “new” consoles for several years anyway, so... I’m not really sure why this is a surprise to anyone?

All through the episode I was only thinking of ways how they could mindfuck the viewers this time. Came to a conclusion that future Bernard is actually someone else (Dolores ie.) by switching their robo brains.

Morsels? NO!

7. Hoard it forever because you are emotionally attached to it.

To be fair, that’s likely a game mechanic more than an artistic choice. I’ve played plenty of games where running into a door that opens towards you gets your character hung up on the door’s geometry and gets annoying as shit. Much better for gameplay in most games if you can just open it away from you and go through

Is GOG in worst position than itch.io? I bought more games on GOG this year than on itch.io. First is Steam, of course. I tried to bought on UPlay, but their checkout system is broken for me and I don’t know how to fix it.

But previous GTA games

I have been loving Stardew Valley (PC) of late - there is some combat in the mines, but since so much of the game exists outside of that aspect, you can just do something else on the days when too stressed.

Online multiplayer. Very few of my friends play games these days, and I have no interest in playing with strangers.

Except that the extent of the tutorials in Dark Souls covers only the basic controls.

I picked up Bloodborne on Monday and after a few long play sessions, I unfortunately say this:
