The Gamera episodes are pretty uneven. Gamera and Gamera VS Guiron are classics, but the others are kinda meh, although Gamera VS Zigra is goofy and charming on its own.

That's one thing I don't get. How many people at the time really thought it was a true story when it was released? Yeah, I remember the advertising campaign and everything, but I also listened to an interview with the directors on NPR the day before it premiered and they didn't for a moment pretend it was real.
