I hope he never finishes the books because I know he loves having guys you suck on his nuts all the time.

It would be nice for once to just get the thing it’s supposed to be, instead of a tweaky, “gritty,” “realistic” take.  I’d prefer that there just be no unicorns and that’s just a tale.  Or something as close to a unicorn as a manatee is to a mermaid.

This attitude really infuriates me.  It went off-book from episode 1, season 1, I can’t imagine how anyone who liked the books could even watch the show.  The writing was terrible, the casting was mostly very bad, the budget was too small (which made the world feel small, Winterfell was like some minor baron’s keep),

He should probably stop telling people what he’s up to.  Stop doing his “Not a Blog” blog and we could just tell ourselves that he’s at his computer working away.

His health does seem pretty poor, but agreed that is in bad taste.

He should just hire a team of writers to help him out, he would be able to guide the process like a showrunner and do tweaks on the writing to give it the right GRRM flavor.

That’s...nonsense.  The executor of his estate, and writers usually have a separate literary executor, will be able to make those decisions.  When a writer dies with unpublished, unfinished work it’s up to the executor whether to release it.  Patrick O’Brian’s unfinished 21st Aubrey & Maturin novel was released even

Kind of reminds me of some of the letters Tolkien wrote to his publisher about the Hobbit sequel and how long it was getting and the change in tone, etc.  All they wanted was a simple sequel to a simple children’s book and takes, what, 14 years or something and writes this massive sequel.  Genius, sure, but I hope we

It might be better to ultimately have someone else finish them. And I don’t mean if he dies, he could just bring in a ghost writer now, or writers, Dumas didn’t do much of his own writing - he had someone to do all his research and come up with the plot and do most of the writing and Dumas just came in after and gave

I bet he hasn’t even started on the next one.  He’s enjoying himself too much going to Comicon and being treated like a king and getting all this other attention.

It’s not a fraction, it’s the bulk - he’s said so himself in interviews.  The sheer number of words alone, but also the scope of the story.

He does kind of look like he’s going to drop dead any day.  Hopefully that’s not the case, and not just because I want him to finish the series, but he doesn’t look healthy.  His age is not as much of a deal as his obvious poor health.  I know 90-somethings who are more spry than he is.

He’s not going to say no because he likes the attention and the special treatment.  Compare that to just sitting at his computer, typing away.

Why doesn’t he owe us anything?  We bought his books.  He has a job writing because of that, instead of some shit job in a factory or something.  (Although I guess he’d be retired by now anyway, if he’d done that.)  So, yeah, he owes us, but I also wonder if he procrastinates so much, if he hates writing so much, he

He owes us a lot, and he is our dancing monkey.  He has a job writing for a living because of people buying his books and watching the shit TV shows based on them.  So, yeah, he absolutely owes us.  Are you a writer, George?  A writer writes.  Stop wasting time developing shit TV.

I guess he’s more interested in developing other shitty TV shows to sit down and write. After Crows and Dragons, though, I wonder if I’ll care if the next book comes out or not.

It’s a stupid concept anyway, and one that couldn’t be realized in live action - you’d need about $100 million per episode.  I would have hated to see his Roman episode - I mean, if he’s the student of history he’d like us to believe he is (I doubt he is), he’d know that Rome could never have survived another 1500

At the time it came out no one was complaining about that stuff in Tolkien’s work, it was a less pussified time when people like you weren’t tolerated.

I wonder how you can read his work when it’s so grossly offensive to you.  My guess is just so that you go on the internet and complain to your SJW heart’s content about how non-SJW it all is.  You’re certainly not niggardly with your negative, illogical, inaccurate comments.

It’s an accurate assessment. Try doing at least the tiniest bit of research.
