Don’t kid yourself. Tesla’s board is a joke. This is a slap on the wrist. The SEC has basically given Elon a pass. The government clearly doesn’t want to see Tesla tank. Elon’s mystique with the fanbois is the only thing keeping this leaky boat afloat.

PR stunt. Nothing more.

I thought it was a track suit and sneakers.

Of course this is just another attempt to try and move metal while pretending that FSD exists. Of course none of these employees can speak as they all have to sign an NDA. P. T. Barnum had nothing on Elon Musk.

Of course the Tesla Davidians missed the joke.

No, I'm in Georgia. I sold it to a local guy, but I haven't seen it since.

Believe it or not the '72 was purple when I bought and it was originally white. I lost my ass on the’73.

There’s going to be a lot of shame in this thread. Here’s mine:

I bought a leftover ‘17 GTI S for just over $19 thousand this past February. They couldn’t give them or Focus ST’s away.

It’s pretty immediate as others have stated. It’s certainly quicker than I could stir. That said, in auto mode, it’s, well, automatic. It’s a lot less refined than a traditional torque converted automatic, however. For daily use it’s ok, but it hasn’t made me want to sell my 944.

I cross shopped and ST with the GTI and bought the GTI. My base S GTI had more standard features and is easier to deal with day to day. The prices were virtually identical. Also, VW sandbags the performance. On paper an ST should walk a GTI. But that’s not reality.

I don’t know how it is in the 7.5's, but the Mark VII S has a smaller screen and loses the limited slip diff (it still has the electronic diff). On the other hand, you get the cool plaid seats. I use Android Auto and love it. The problem with built in navigation systems is that they age out. The navi in my 2012 LEAF

A few years ago I inquired about buying an early 90's VW Cabriolet from an “enthusiast” on Craigslist. It had been lowered and had tiny wheels that stuck out way too far among a few other mods. When I asked if he had the original wheels and informed him that I wanted to return it to stock, he said that he only wanted

I recommended your post before I finished reading it.

The point is that it doesn’t have to. Those are choices that those other automakers made. I mean the Type R is the Japanese anime version of a car.

I’m 47 and just bought one back in February. Out of all my choices it offered the most features for the money. And compared to the other choices it’s practical and relatively subdued in appearance.

Your’re right. They should offer a sedan version with a giant ridiculous wing on the back.

If you're on the board of a public company, you shouldn't tweet anything material - period.

I read an article recently about a guy who turned a NA 944 into a rally car. To me, that makes a ton of sense - cheap to buy, rwd, near 50/50 weight distribution plenty of options for suspension upgrades.

Relax. That’s only like 20 eighties dollars.
