Along those lines, Fiat removed the real oil pressure gage from the Spiders in the mid-70's and replaced it with a light. The Lampredi twin has naturally low oil pressure at idle which apparently Fiat’s customers couldn’t handle.

Problem is that most folks under 45 have little ones to drive around who also happen to be costing them a ton of money. It’s a double whammy.

Looks like a Lotus Elan. They actually made a 2+2 Elan, so maybe that’s really the answer. Or the 944. Or a GTI.

I just brought home my new 2017 VW GTI S. MSRP of $27,835 - selling price of $19,835 - $8,000 off. VW dealers in the Atlanta area are offering $8,000 off across the board on 2017 GTIs. I was also offered a 2018 Focus ST for $19,500. There are some good deals out there.

I met him out at Petit LeMans a couple of years ago. We were just walking by and there he was. He signed a couple of hats and took a pic with my son. Great guy.

A couple of years ago, an article like this would have been met with derision and mockery. Now look at us. Even the confirmed gearheads can see the light.

Yes. I DD a 2012 LEAF which I need to replace in about 5 months when I pass it on to my daughter. I’m seriously considering a Tesla because of the supercharger network..

He clearly means 7 coupes. There were a lot more convertibles. I believe the original importer was here in Atlanta. I saw a white one in the mid-nineties and was immediately on a quest to learn more. They have a bespoke tube chassis and a fiberglass body. The convertible top has a removable targa panel and the rest of

It was just...fine, really.

FWIW, the new LEAF comes with a level 2 charger. You just need to install a suitable 240V outlet in your garage.

I’ve had a LEAF for a few years now and have driven the new one. Nissan could do way better in the steering department. I think they’re holding back and there will be a sportier version in the future. That said, most any EV is going to win the typical stoplight drag race. It’s just going to happen with a lot less

I think your assessment of his assessment is better than his assessment of the car.

I think there’s some confusion here. Only the VR4 version of the 3000GT offered AWS and AWD and it had a twin turbo offering north of 300 hp. It also had active aero. The base vers was front wheel drive.

Wasn’t there a company in Canada that would convertible-ize these back in the 80's or am I thinking of something else? If it’s what I think it is, it might be more interesting.

No, it’s completely different. It even has an analog speedometer now (not sure I agree with that decision)

Think of it as aggressive engine braking in a manual without the accompanying stall. It will come to a complete stop and even hold on a hill. It also works in reverse and yes it does activate the brake lights.

One pedal driving is pretty much what it sounds like. If you approach your stop and haven’t timed it right, give it a little more throttle to adjust. It also works in reverse (I tested it). Don’t know why it would be nonsense. Don’t like it, don’t use it.

Size wise it’s like the old LEAF. It is very quick off the line with the instant torque that all EVs have. You’ll win most stoplight drag races below 50 mph.

I can answer some of these.

Because LEAF is an acronym.
