I've come to realize we have way too many plates and other dishes. Why do I need service for 12? My apartment couldn't even hold that many people. Furthermore, if I were to have a party that large I'm springing for the disposable dishes.

@big_neon_crossing: Try getting one with the hybrid tires. Smoother than mountain tires for city riding but still have grooves for better off-road control. Check out craigslist. There were a ton of bikes that were much cheaper than bike stores. Just be sure to try before you buy!
