fargo at least had some humor, simple plan has none. theres also multiple characters here “in on it” as opposed to fargo so theres not really anyone to root for.

for a long time after i saw simple plan in the theatres i thought it was a coen bros movie. i wonder how much theyre an influence here considering their working relationship.
i know its not going to be a “blockbuster” like most of these...but i dont see many that are going to be better movies.
i mean it hasnt failed....
Men is the only movie that matters coming up
Being there is such a departure from AM and most of that is due to Jay.(it also has some of the best live tracks in it - sunken treasure, misunderstood, outtasite/outtamind). Whats always been strange to me is that YHF seems like more of a natural progression from being there, than summerteeth to YHF. Its like…

AVC really missed the chance to ask him “what the fuck was john from Cincinnati supposed to be about!!!??”
theres pretty much nothing chill about an AF show
i had heard he wanted to do a live introduction of it, not a full repurposing of the material
no news on that biopic that got pulled?
is that supposed to be sarcasm? if not, have you ever seen AF live?
win butler, britt daniel, glaring omissions - and if walkmen were still around hamilton should be at the top of this list
this
i think this author missed the point of babadook
If you didnt know this iteration had the penguin, odds are you probably werent going to see it in the theatre anyways.
how friday night lights or brians song are not on the 5 to catch makes this list invalid.
i could not agree more. music was everything to me til about 35...then one day i just stopped downloading new stuff and going to shows. it takes a lot for me to check out a new band. i had read somewhere that once you hit your early 30s you stop listening to new stuff and are pretty set in your ways.
they start at both. redundant execs and redundant grunts all get the boot.
