I guess you could say the new CBA is a kick to the balls to your average journeyman, eh?

Pointing out that the Emperor Has No Clothes is a legitimate opposition tactic. Doing it daily as the sole method of your criticism, like Maddow and Olbermann, is what reduces its effectiveness.
This is bullshit. It should be SPORTSMAN of the Year!
Your comment elicited a bit of hate, which I don’t get at all. It wasn’t accusatory nor racist. It was genuinely nice of you to hope for a stable home life (I guess maybe people thought you were doing the opposite?).
Since you hoped that he has a stable home life (which, as you said, an abusive/neglectful home makes…
Pretty awesome. I just hope his life at home is stable enough for him to actually use it. I used to volunteer at a after school program, and so many kids/teens were there because their parents/guardians were negligent or abusive. I can just imagine him going home, and having his parents say, “You didn’t pay for that!”…
This is the opposite of the point of the post. I kept waiting for him to spit on your kid or something
I hated The Importance of Being Earnest too. I preferred the one where he went to camp.
I heard a story thirdhand from a Guitar Store employee in LA that Roth once walked in, talked shit about Eddie Van Halen without any prompting, then smoked a HUGE joint with said employee in the alley behind the store. Then they go to get pizza and the entire ride over Diamond Dave, is singing “I got it baaaaad,…
Possible, but I hate statements like that when people commit suicide in these situations. It almost implies that of course CTE is to blame, because a normal strong football player wouldn’t be depressed to the point of committing suicide.
I do know what it means.
I remember asking my father as a child (I think around 4th grade) why he never videotaped my school concerts or performances like the other parents (back in the day of giant camcorders, which we didn’t own). And he replied, “All week you’ve been complaining about this stupid concert, and now you want me to videotape…
It’s one of those closely guarded secrets of the league, like how Antonio Gates used to play basketball.
He went to Harvard? WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED?
hillary clinton blew a 3-1 lead
“BECAUSE HE DIDN’T HOLD ANYTHING BACK, BRENT!!!”
Of course not, but you are not trying to produce click bait.
As I’ve said elsewhere, the main function of Twitter seems to be to allow people to quickly and easily make casual statements that can be completely ripped out of any larger context and used as a cudgel against them.
I’d say the reaction to a joke that was kinda clever, kinda meh, very harmless is perhaps a reason why Democrats lost the election.
>but Jost is saying that liberals should deemphasize equal rights for all people because it alienates rednecks.
I have a feeling that Jost would not characterize what he’s saying in that way. This piece would be a lot more effective if it accurately represented the viewpoint it’s arguing against.
it was a good joke
