I mean NBA career, i.e. Webber was a legitimate very good player while the rest were decent but not what one would call "stars" IMO.
He spent most of his career as a starter when not injured later on, then bounced around AFTER the injury.
We're not talking financially, there have been PLENTY of athletes that made huge money and were busts. Howard was an All Star once, as was Laettner. My entire point was refuting the comment that he "did nothing outside of college" which is absurd, his career line was a respectable 13.3 points per game, 6.9 rebounds,…
I stated he was successful, but he also had trouble staying healthy. He reached 60 games only half his career. And lame or not, it's hard to "do nothing" in the NBA and manage to hang around for 13 seasons.
Meh, Webber was the only one of the Fab Five that was legitimately "successful" and his off-court issues were just as much talked about. Laettner at least played in the NBA for 13 seasons.
I'll agree if they can't bring back Browner, and that will require them swallowing their pride and now realizing his stock ACTUALLY has now gone up because of Revis' departure. It is stubborn to simply look at a sheet and state "he's only worth $3.5 but other teams deem him to be at $5mil", and watch him walk over so…
"...And we all know that Seattle should have won that game but for the baffling final call, but it is what it is."
Not sure he would sign with them out of respect, and being in the AFC.
I'm sorry, but that's just great!
Patriots will still contend for a SB next year and that's without the draft or trade day being over. Heck, on paper I don't see them much worse than Seattle. (assuming both teams being healthy).
While I agree, that defense got exposed badly by New England when it mattered, and even the Packers made it look easy for a while. I haven't been following their trades but didn't they lose a few guys on defense?
"sorry state of the AFC"...Steelers, Ravens, and Broncos are every bit as good as any NFC teams. You think none would stand a chance against the Packers or Seahawks??
shhhhhh.....they've been saying this since the time Peyton showed up and look where that got them.
Thank you!
Dude, they got DESTROYED in the AFC, it's not like if they had a few more chances they would have won. The OP was pointing out that Indy has done nothing to address that. Secondly, "..not going to be nearly as good this year", based on WHAT exactly??! Revis is the only one gone and they flat out throttled Indy twice…
"Haynesworth".
Only got one guy, Revis who was literally dumped by the Jets, injured and had a decent year with the Bucs. Plus they only went after him when Talib walked. Browner? He was suspended the first four games after getting let go by the Seahawks. If anything, they won this year because Gronk was finally healthy in the…
And this is exactly what happened before with Peyton, they'll be front-loaded on offense with the QB hogging up most of their cap and three seasons later see him restructuring after getting tired of seeing his team unceremoniously dumped in the playoffs yet again.
Is this Drake?
