EVERY, not some...shut down corner holds the receiver's jersey to gain an advantage KNOWING it is illegal yet do it continuously in the "hope" that the ref doesn't see it. MOST of the time it has a direct impact on the game, many times the outcome. When they get caught they get penalized....then do it again. Why?

Here's my "hot take":

On this we can agree! My feeling is that both the refs and the league "know" about this but put little into it because as we've now heard, it is rather prevalent throughout the league. Ironically this same league that wants to make a lesson of the Patriots will soon award admitted ball cheater Aaron Rodgers league MVP!

Still bitter I see over your Pats beatdown...

Thank you, doesn't a deflated ball have a much better chance of not being deflected but firmly intercepted like we saw last weekend?? So as long as Brady doesn't throw it too close to the opposition....he has an unfair advantage??

"Continually"?? There was only ONE and it was simply for location of cameras, NOT the actual filming you dolt.

Holy cow, and they also LOST TWO SBs by only a few points you dipshit!!

...because as now read here countless times, EVERY other team has been doing it so maybe the Pats just aren't little bitches who like to rat people out? Where is the advantage if countless other teams employ this tactic?

Because we're now finding it that it is quite common league-wide, and I don't see you calling for the Packers to be punished.

Still waiting on that link where the league already decided that the Patriots knowingly cheated....why is that genius?

Your bitter tears taste like champagne...oh, and your team still sucks!

??? It was 17-7, and like you stated they inspected them BEFORE the half, replaced a ball AFTER the half and then they scored 27 unanswered points. Now add in that if the league had an inkling it was ongoing then why would they continue to allow them to use the same balls??

You're ignoring this part:

Retry dumbass:

...and they're not MY standards, but the league's. If the league simply brushes off their responsibility and puts the onus on the team to both measure and weigh them, then it is the league that is at fault. Footballs don't simply maintain a proper psi regardless of conditions, some of these things have been sitting

NO, just like Aaron Rodgers READILY ADMITTED, he prefers the feel of them a certain way also but it isn't his nor the team's responsibility to weigh them, but the refs per NFL rules:

Uhh...that "no reason" is wrong:

Intentions to deflate footballs that were inspected beforehand then held by the referees the entire game?? You do realize it was raining the entire second half and refs were CLEARLY shown with towels over the footballs in question, right? So none of them notice a significantly deflated ball they have in their hands?

Sorry, wrong again. That is why they have these complex rules in place:
