God damn it; here comes another format war. Google pushes it’s ~45% market share to RCS and Apple pushes there ~40% market share to iMessage and now a good percentage of mobile phone users can’t exchange rich format messages. It’s an unacceptable use case, so eventually one of them has to go the way of HD-DVD.

This may come as a shock to you, but not everybody want to use Google services or move their 10+ year old email accounts.
