I agree with you, absolutely alcohol changes the behavior. No one is “blaming” alcohol! The abuser is to blame 100%. But some people, usually alcoholics lose control of their behavior when under the influence.

Just because you were able to behave doesn’t mean that is the case for everyone. No one is taking the blame FROM the abuser, absolutely not. But for some people, alcohol changes behavior. My kids don’t want to go to the circus with animals because they are horrified by animal abuse. But yeah they should be confronted with reality.
