6 episodes is hardly a season. I know Amazon, as the new kid on the block, wants to seem like a solid place for tv by having a show that lasts more than one year. But this doesn't mean that AV club has to blindly regurgitate their marketing press and make Catastrophe seem more venerable than it actually is.

People are judging this too harshly. It is at least a B+/A- for a TV movie.

Why couldn't they just legalize lesbian sex? Most people are for that, but gay marriage is just wrong.

I'm sorry, but in the post-Game of Thrones age historic/fantasy shows cannot survive without copious nudity - especially for a show about witches, come on I'm expecting wild orgies night on bald mountain style and sex with goat men. Instead the lack of titillation going on in this show was positively puritanical.

So does this mean the AV Club will be reviewing Defiance every week from now on - seeing as how a reviewer's slot just opened up
