Random encounters are one of those RPG elements I’m glad to see dying out in recent times.

Yeah, I’m assuming this is very early content, but I’m still surprised that they have this much. Figure we wouldn’t be seeing this for at least another year or so.

I’m imagining a bunch of people running for office, but instead of political parties like Republican and Democrat, the parties are divided by FF games. FF VII, VI, X, etc. will each be their own parties. FF VIII will be too, but the party is never popular enough to win the election...

I would love that. FF VII, VIII, and IX all suffered from the same problem of early PS1 graphics which aged terribly. I think VIII might have it worst than any of them in this department. I agree that it would never get enough love to get this kind of treatment.

There are a few things like that I hope they really amp up the awesome.

Hopefully what they replace it with is fun at least.

I personally agree with you. I loved the original, but I knew that with a complete remake like this that the original mechanics would not work. I wasn’t sure how they would update it, but I knew it was coming.

I like this. I’m used to checking the Event Viewer to find these type of errors, but this looks like a simplified, user-friendly version of it. Will be interesting to compare and see how well this new tool helps with finding problems.

Voice commands are the one part of the Kinect I often hear people enjoying. I’ve wondered that if the Kinect fails, that the voice recognition features would be worth salvaging as a separate feature for future models or consoles.

The dick jokes are the worst part. It doesn’t matter if the joke material is good, they always ruin it with pointless dick jokes. This particular comic had a decent premise that set itself up for a good joke, but then they ruin it at the end.
