I think "turbolader" refers to either supercharger or turbocharger in the German language. Having never asked this to a native speaker, I do not know...

They also taught us that de-oxygenated blood is blue... Don't believe everything that teachers tell you.

I think that's a common misconception that the tail of a comet is water/ice as it melts when it passes the sun. I haven't searched on this, but I think that tail is the actual comet getting ripped apart as it comes closer to the sun. Don't forget that, of course, comets have zero atmosphere to block the radiation

Curious, why would you want a list that wasn't contiguous or in order in the document? That's the whole point of a list, to make it easy for the reader to find...

No, I agree, it's you and people who refuse to learn how to use it properly..

"Also, had this been done using a tool like a Wiki, not only could a difference between versions been used to see what had been changed, but it would highlight who changed it."

Yes, to add confusion, it's happened to me three times. Obviously never to the point that it bends a rod or anything. But the engine starts briefly then just dies. If you try to start it again it won't turn over (hydrolocked). If you wait 20 minutes or so it will start, run super rough, bellow white smoke, and smell

I only partially disagree with that statement. Overall they are built better than their competitors. However, they suffer from a few intricacies that, if the name were Alfa Romeo, would be called 'intricacies'.

VW Common Rail TDIs (with DPF) are so poorly engineered that it is possible for them to hydrolock themselves without any outside interference (like rain, or puddles, etc).

One word: liability.

Every drug has a side effect. That is a fact of life. The side effect may be small, but it is still there. You also have to consider the occurrences of people not taking the correct doses, that will wreak havoc on both the efficacy and the side effects. If the side effect goes way up then the drug would likely not

What? No windows? My minions will be staying in those rooms...

And you have one for sale, yeah?

But beyond the fuel economy thing, everything else is expensive. Case in point: while filming this video, I noticed there was a small screw in the front passenger tire. You'd know this if you followed me on Twitter, because I posted a photo of the ultimate first-world problem: sitting at a gas station air pump,

Porkin'

You guys are doing this all wrong... I submit to you this crazy device:

A competition with two men who don't regularly wear trousers. Well Harris is British so maybe he has the common decency to write with trousers on. Either way, I'll read it from my closet.

I've always been partial to any kind of diesel yacht engine. Maybe it's the fact that they sit in a room (in a vehicle) so you can see most of the naked engine without all kinds of bodywork around them. Or perhaps it's because they are just so damn big. Or maybe it's how they paint them to prevent oxidation in the

I think the column should be titled: More interesting that Doug's useless drivel.

I'm not against solar at all, I just don't think it's economically viable to make them sidewalks and such. Why don't we first focus on making roofing tiles out of them or something? Why try to make them sidewalks that:
