Give me the Type 41 any day of the week... Something about that enormous long hood just does it for me.

Being that a K-tail is closer in design to a hatchback than a sedan I'll have to disagree:

My experience about the fuel economy is not true. For instance, the Jetta Sportwagen TDI gets the best fuel mileage in it's family (Jetta, Golf, Beetle, Sportwagen). The same used to be true for the Passat Wagon. The cars themselves used the exact same drive train, it's just the body style was more aerodynamic. I

In the USA, any hatchback. Americans see a hatchback and think "Oh, that guy couldn't afford the sedan." When really, the hatchback is just so much more useful than the sedan.. It aggravates me to no end. I hear they don't have this problem in the Europes.

In most states a verbal agreement is just as good as a written one. There is little legal difference between the two. Unless Bowlby wants to commit [apparent] perjury and say that he didn't verbally commit to deal...

they're just dudes walking. There's two more about 100 feet behind them...

Every race car would have it if the regulations allowed for it. ABS the obvious answer.

If they bring the long roofed diesel to the US I will buy one. And I don't mean that I think I would buy one because it looks nice. I mean I WILL buy one because I'm in the need to replace my Golf TDI with something a little bigger...

How good is a NASCAR driver racing other NASCAR drivers?

Define quite well.

I'd argue that it is. The engine is in the wrong spot for a muscle car, but otherwise it has all the credentials, doesn't turn well, huge power, meant for top speed/drag racing.

I'm taking this from Chevy's website. I might be wrong, but whatever...

Meh... it's hard to tell the difference nowadays. Back in the day, sure. But with modern models? I submit that a Corvette is a muscle car.

I changed my mind!

625HP/635lb-ft

I'm not saying that they are evil. I would like to see the data and then make a decision.

Pretty sad state of affairs ain't it?

More diesel VWs? I don't think so. I see 10 Panthers a day around these parts and rarely ever see an old diesel VW. And I drive a diesel VW...

Inline and straight can be used interchangeably. Transverse and Longitudinal refer to how the engines are mounted. For instance there are plenty of transverse mounted V6 engines.

"Diesel is overrated by the gearhead community. There. I said it."
