Very fitting for Cadillac. Even their logo will be an empty shell of its former self.

Every year as cars get better and better, it just makes me more sad that I haven’t won the lottery yet. This thing is glorious.
It’s just a question of how heavy and how expensive you want your gearbox to be.
Has that Tremec DCT been used in any other car yet?
“best ever interior for a vette” is a VERY low bar to clear. They’ve been in competition woth Playskool and Fisher-Price for the last few decades, and also competing within with the C7, which without the corvette logo on the screen and wheel could have been confused for a cruze coupe.
So a line of not-easily-found buttons, a large swathe of leather that you know will be peeling and bubbling in a few years, a Mercedes-like infotainment controller, and ho-hum GM plastics. The overall design is a nice departure, but the execution is underwhelming at best, and that’s just in photos.
There is an obvious anti-Corvette/ anti-GM contingency at Jalopink.....
You mean the first mass production carbon fiber wheels? That's not cool enough for you?
Great Cadillac will lead GM’s EV charge... in China
Easy answer: GM should design and produce better looking, higher quality parts for a car that wants to eat at the big kids table. The margins exist. It’s a matter of desire and dedication to being better, or in this case, the lack thereof.
It’s funny you mention that. I have a background in dealer ops management before taking up a career in building software and interface experiences... with a couple OEMs as past clients, and one of them was a certain Detroit-based make. So yes, I do have an idea.
Very light hybrid that gets only slightly better mileage city than most current trucks and worse mpg highway than most current trucks. This F150 is supposed to be a more serious effort.
Maybe move out of the crappy blue state taxing you to death?
Then GM must be currently run by idiots. I’d imagine that for this year’s NAIAS they had BETTER be showing some insanely amazing shit to at least prove to everyone that they have an actual game plan moving forward. They have gotten themselves into a bit of hot water over the shuttering of plants.
Remember in 2015 when Ford just up and dropped the GT supercar at NAIAS? No fucking around with “leaks” or teasers. Just here it is. You want it? Here is a fucking application. We will let you know if you deserve one.
As with the 5th gen Camaro and latest Acura NSX, we’ll all be tired of them by the time they’re actually released.
I was talking about the 2.7L but I did drive a 3.5L for two weeks and consistently beat the estimates. Also, I daily a Chevy 5.3 and average 12-13 so that engine is horrible.
Which engine? The majority of reviews of the 3.5 EcoBoost’s since they came out a few years ago has been: This hauls ass, but the mileage is not what is advertised.
Probably didn’t help that they refused to offer it with the premium engine.
I mean they must be doing something right as the world largest car manufacturer and +10 billion euro profit year after year.
