My wife had the cts coupe the first year it came out very cool looking car . Yes , I agree it had all the options. My issue is the execution, on paper it’s great but the final product was not on par with the 435 she purchased afterwards and the interior started falling apart . Also my biggest gripe is the engine

They’ve almost always made cars with good engines and performance but just about everything else leaves something to be desired.

Now playing

...especially given their wonderful advertising strategy

I couldn’t agree more.

True. Their gauges are hideous and cheap looking.

I couldn’t agree more on that. The Volt was, by most measures, a remarkable car, except for that whole battery-down-the-middle design. However, a sign of their cheapness came when I went to test drive one. I was checking out the cargo space, and the floormats were in the back. They looked like they had been cut out of

Also GM does not know how to get all the details right. They get 80% of it right. They nail it out of the park in a few areas (sometimes its the engine, other times its the chassis), but the rest of the details kill it for me. This goes for all their vehicles even the silverado.

I wish my car would drive itself in traffic.
—a vast number of car enthusiasts.

I have a great idea.

Welcome to Detroit.

This will definitely help the pro union camp and not change anyone’s minds about the UAW and auto mfgs.

Lol 460hp for $35k. That power used to cost $200k

with the gearing ratio applied, that solid piece of steel jammed in a gear is more than adequate to keep a stationary vehicle stopped on a hill.
The true problem is how the electromechanical engagement of it is unreliable.

+1 for both parking brake and knowing what a pawl is and its function. Both are unfortunately uncommon.

They’re basically the “jack of all trades, master of none” philosophy distilled in car form. They can do a bit of everything to some extent, but also suck at most of those things, but mainstream consumers eat that shit up because it’s versatile even if it’s kinda shitty, because it’s a “safe choice” all around.

The Cadillac CT6 Is Already At Risk Of Getting Axed: Report

GM is back to its old ways as usual...

I haven’t liked a gm interior since the g8. Their trucks have some of the most abysmal interior space utilization of all brands.

Read all of that in Mr. Regular’s voice. Fucking accurate.

bad analogy - a single cart doesn’t affect the green in a discernible way like taking a shit on your carpet - it’s only an issue if everyone does it.
