Gonna be a lot of homosexuals passing you on the track as you tell yourself that.

Actual wood. Actual leather. I rather like Ford. About 750,000 miles in Fords and I’ve yet to have a problem (that wasn’t my own doing).
Umm, that’s what the US has such strict emissions standards, so something like that doesn’t happen. It’s not diesel that’s bad, it’s failing to meet emissions standards that is bad.
If you calmed down on the gawker esque tone and rewrote this entirely you might actually convince people with some valid points.
Yeah, for years they’ve been rigging the highway mileage by way of a super tall overdrive gear. In town is horrendous even if you have a light foot.
Mercedes can probably do this, it’s easy to imagine an upmarket SUV maybe using the Pullman and Maybach branding to indicate its exclusiveness.
Actually you might get one pump for the brakes, and when the power steering goes, it’s a bit more difficult to handle. Difficult enough to crash.
at the end of the day, an STI is a $40,000 imprezza, an Evo WAS (RIP) a $40,000 lancer, a Golf R is a $40,000 golf, an RS3 is a $60,000 golf that we can’t buy here...what’s your point?
Also the difference between the old “gross” power ratings and “net” ratings.
Doesn’t seem like a car you buy for its reliability. Get a Camry if that’s what you’re worried about.
The s4 is basically akin to the BMW 340i...it’s not the top of the heap performance car in the lineup. The 340i doesn’t get a dual clutch either and nobody cares. You want fancy transmission? Get the RS4. Also, to be perfectly honest, as a DCT owner myself, it’s fun when you really want to romp on it...sure...but my…
Not sure whether I would give a damn. Audi does the ZF 8AT as well or better than anyone else. Whatever fractional performance advantage of the dual clutch would easily be mitigated by the much more everyday livability of the 8AT.
Well you just summed up Camaro’s entire life. Late to the party. The whole car is a reaction. I like the accel numbers though! Those are scary fast! I hope this propels Ford and Mopar to hasten the pace of their mid-life chariots.
They don’t give a damn, really. Camaro should be better, GM waits till the Mustang comes out, so they can make sure they beat it. Ford will keep making improvements to the Mustang. Even if the Camaro is faster, the Mustang is probably the better all around car.
Definitely. Camaro is going to be late to the punch with a more modern design, just like they were late to the punch with the retro design renaissance. It might be faster, but you can probably bet it’ll be the same cheap interior, tank feeling model as the last one, just faster.
You don’t know how big it is, you’re purely guessing like the rest of us. They make like 3 sizes of car smaller than the Civic now, used to be their smallest car. There’s no need for it to be a tiny shitbox anymore.
The Corvette does not sell well in the rest of the world like the 911 does. Porsche has to make a car that is possible to sell in countries with displacement and emission taxes. That is why going with a 3.0l turbo engine makes sense. Imagine how high taxes on a 6.2l engine would be in Germany or Japan or China.
There isn't a way to properly power a 5,500lb vehicle and get 20mpg. If there was a way, it would've been done by now. The smaller engines do save some weight and in some instances use less fuel. The problem is they're FUN. And that fun costs $$ in the way of fuel. I've seen the tests of these engines going up…
You are comparing apples to oranges though in the fact that the 6.2 in the Sierra has an 8 speed auto and comparing the 5.3 to the 3.5 is the wrong comparison from a power output perspective. The Ecoboost is supposed to provide the same or better power as the next sized engine up, but with better fuel economy than…
