This is what you get when people want ~600 HP in a passenger car. Rear wheel drive just cant handle that amout of power without huge sticky and expensive tires or tons of tracton controll. All wheel drive though doesn't need to be bad, or even get rid of burnouts. With the amount of controll you can have about where

"Attention car enthusiasts: Not all brands or nameplates need to appeal to you, nor should many of them try. In fact, if most of them did, they'd go out of business in short order.

how dare they release an attractive vehicle in one of the most profitable segments!

Not sure turbochargers have a nationality.

Yes, yes they do. So this weird sentiment directed at the 6.2 makes no real sense. Especially since it didn't really sound all that great...just another big, lumpy, low-revving American V8 with many pounds of silencers and mufflers.

Don't the Ecoboost V6s make more torque than the N/A V8s *and* make it at a lower rpm? I thought these motors were making something like at least 80% of their peak torque from 1800 rpm to redline.

This idea doesn't make any sense and just shows that industry trends aren't always trends. A Smaller than ATS car wouldn't make sense size wise as the ATS is already pretty tight and price wise, which would have this car in Buick or Chevy's price range, going against the whole upward march of Cadillac as a brand. How

Yeah but the Germans sell A8s and S classes and 7 series. They are aspirational!

How is this going to work?

ever driven a Mini? There are certain things in life called intangibles, and the Mini has a lot more of them than a boring GTI

Because the Chinese love it because it's kinda cheezy luxo. That's it.

Incidentally, when I first laid eyes on one, my first thought was "THIS is the car Lincoln should be building!" That car is the sex.

Honestly, this looks really good. I think that having a slight inset for the grille gives the front end some definition and helps alleviate the bulbous whale look most other Lincolns suffer from. IMO this is the best interpretation yet of Lincoln's latest design language. It looks awesome in black. I love the detail

Well it won't be a Tesla fighter at 30k.

The quality of the fuel itself can make a big difference. I experience a difference of 22-29 MPG in my 3-series BMW based on fuel alone 100% 91-octane gas in summer yielding best economy.

Yep, but that's also what makes the 2.7 EcoBoost interesting. It's got a very diesel-like torque curve.

How about the real life FE of a the EcoDiesel Ram?

I said this when they revealed the pricing.

The front end is horrid but I like the rest better than the Colorado. I'd already own one or the Canyon if they'd have used the 4.3 instead of the 3.6. Now I just gotta wait for the baby Dmax.

Not everyone that drives a German car is rich. Some people just choose to put their money in vehicles rather than golf/booze/hunting/etc. Its not to impress others, its because they love to drive. I speak for myself, not everyone.
