They’ll be around...
I just saw a Demon with $15k in upgrades sell for about $100k on eBay today.
There are dealer incentives as well. Just priced out an optioned-up SP Widebody, $57k MSRP but minus $4850 and minus another $4600 dealer incentive (but, plus $1-2k in dealer add on nonsense bs). Still coming out way ahead, and a Scat Pack WB for under $50k. YES PLEASE
The Scat Pack is not only a good price but its still in the realm of usable daily driver without going through your rear tires, unless you just have to. The Demon is crazy and Redeye even worse pricing wise as, from what I’ve seen, they’ve out right gone into supercar territory. I mean a lot of places these things are…
I have a 16 Hellcat and I have thought long and hard about getting a new SRT Widebody.
Dodge has a ridiculous promo right now - $10/hp incentive. So, $4850 off a Scat Pack and a ridiculous $7,970 off a Challenger Hellcat Redeye. I’ve never even seen an SRT go on sale ever, they now go ahead and lop 10% right off the top. I have a Scat Pack and want to trade it in for a widebody.
If you are 1 of 5 new Demons for sale in the US you would be stupid not to have a markup.
Except they have been sitting there for well over a year because people arent stupid enough to pay nearly 50k over MSRP for a vehicle like this. Its insane
Dealerships sitting on 2-year old vehicles still asking tens of thousands over MSRP like “NO LOWBALLERS WE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE!”
I would humbly suggest that their window for selling Dodge Demon’s above MSRP is rapidly closing.
Those prices are why they are still sitting. Look hard enough and you can find one with thousands off MSRP.
When the markup is 80-100%, yea not all of them will sell. In fact, you have to be some sort of a rich idiot to buy one above msrp.
“way under $90k” sounds rather ambitious unless you’re doing the vast majority of work yourself. Between the body, associated extra bits like fenders, hood, bumpers, and trim, cheap engine/trans, and donor car (for VIN and potentially salvaging said extra bits), you’d be in it for over $30k in parts. Then you’d have…
If you start the rolling burnout outside the neighbourhood and keep it up all the way out the other side the clouds of smoke will obscure your identity too.
On the other hand, an RS5 with the goodies is also $90,000...but then you realize you just paid $90,000 for what amounts to a German Mustang with AWD, worse driving dynamics, and an interior that is not actually all it’s cracked up to be.
It’s based off of the 300C (LX) platform, not the 300M (LH) platform. Additionally, the LX platform is a Chrysler-designed platform, with few parts based on the E-class, such as the rear suspension design. The more you know!
Which nations would the Challenger represent? Germany? Canada? USA? Italy? They've all had a hand in it :p
Its just like a 60s muscle car. More traction from modern tyres, but with double the power of those cars so you still can’t floor it until you’re above the speed limit. Its ideal for someone who likes to go to the track or drag strip, but also wants a comfortable daily driver. For people who don’t go to the track, the…
That is so self-referential that it’s brilliant. Wow.
is like the Sharon Stone character in “Basic Instinct”.
