The Corvette is one of the most practical sports cars you could ever buy. My parents had a 99 that would haul more groceries than you could put in a cart, get 30+ mpg on the highway, and be fun to drive. The only thing it really lacked was extra seats and a bed for hauling lumber. It’s nowhere near as single purpose

Boomer Corvette owner here. FFS, we don’t all have shitty taste in wheels. The general rule is if your car is old enough to have chrome bumpers and trim, chrome wheels are acceptable. Otherwise, they look ridiculous.

Im going to laugh when it's primarily boomers owning these cars anyway.  Who else has the money for a 2 seat, non-premium car at the drop of a hat like this.  Retirees burning through their savings accounts so their beatnik kids don't get any inheritance, that's who.

Ahem

That yellow Corvette looks awesome with those chrome wheels.

All we need now is Chevrolet to hire someone to design good loking wheels for the C8 rather than the Pep Boys looking stuff that is on it.

the pendulum has swung to the other side. “black out” is fashionable now.  We even have double “black out” and triple “black out”.

Thats ok. All the boomers are going to get tacky aftermarket chrome wheels anyway.

I hear Car & Driver has an Alfa Romeo for sale.

Quick, someone buy that man a Phaeton!!!!!

Wolfsburg Syndrome?

What’s german for “Stockholm syndrome”?

What happens if you hit up down up down left right left right A B Select Start on the audio controls?

I just saw a yellow Xtreme S-10 yesterday for the first time in years. I had a conversation in my head about how it was kind of cool that GM attempted to capitalize on the modified truck aftermarket. I thought to myself that it is a time capsule and that I hope that person keeps it around.

Oh c’mon! Offer the guy $3500 cash, and go for the LS swap. Duh.

The license plate said fresh and it had dice on the wheels.

Pffft, what do you want for your measly $4,500, to live forever?

You must be fun to talk to at parties . . .

Most aren’t from what I’ve heard. Imo I’ve heard so many dealers advertise “no markup” on the C8 that I think GM is strong arming them. “Sell the new Vette with a $20k markup and watch your Silverado allocations go out the window”

The conversion is $39,995, and that’s on top of the truck itself.
