Have you ever ordered Corvette parts? Half the mechanicals are shared with their pickups, while half the interior comes from a Cavalier.  Cheap AF.

Sadly, yes. California requires vehicles to be registered continuously. If you don’t plan on driving it, they have something called “non-op” to keep the registration current through periods of dormancy. If there is a gap in the registration, the state wants the fees going back to when it was last registered before it

That’s still $6k for a not-so-bad sports car.

The small block will be easy to modify for more power relatively cheaply.  Doesn’t look great, but you could build up a decent track rat for cheap.  NP.

True.  That would be an easy sell for them to make a Ford GT fighter with a caddy badge.  At least the pricing could be a bit more aggressive.

D-0? Rock on!

That’s not a TIE Fighter. It’s a picture of the 3019 Mustang at a Cars and Coffee meet on Tatooine.

Likes like a slightly badass-er version of the O.G. tie-interceptor.

I love that this screen grab looks like a hit and run.

Had one... Was the fucking craziest car I’ve ever owned. Its a GTA with a huge shot of cocaine.

I shut my mouth about it because after trolling Corvette fans, I had no jokes left. I still think it would have been a great Cadillac.

Average Mercedes driver is 55. It’s a pretty clear trend - young people are poor and can’t afford expensive cars. I’m waist deep in student loans but if I win the lottery tomorrow, the C8 Corvette would be my first purchase. In reality, I’ll be in my 30s before I am financially stable and can afford one.

You get mocked for any car. That’s how car culture works.  Buy what you like.

Chevy will not force you to make a video to describe how big of an influencer you are to earn the right to purchase one of these and sign a contract to not sell it and sue you when you do.

Exactly. I don't give a bloody hell what anyone else thinks about what bike I ride or car/truck I drive. Stay in your lane and piss off.

Just buy what you want and forget the stereotypes. I’ve had insults hurled at me for the last three cars I’ve owned. People are morons.

Good for them. A lot of 50-60 year olds now probably liked the mid engine super cars of the 70's and 80's as kids and teenagers and now they can have one in retirement, albeit one that can carry golf clubs or luggage for a weekend trip. I think GM is smart to think about retiring Gen Xrs who may be more interested in

Hell yeah. Everyone buys the C8, then the C7 can finally hit that sweet depreciation curve so I can finally afford one!
