I have to agree. Tribal knowledge passed down from 10,000 years ago sounds at least plausible. Passed down from 100,000 years ago sounds impossible.
I think you might be way off on the 100,000 year part. We don’t have anything except for fossils, let alone any cultural knowledge of humans from 100,000 years ago... Hell, you’d be hard pressed to be able to track ANYTHING associated with culture to even 10,000 years ago. Gobekli Tepe, considered one of the first…
We can hope that selective breeding will have eliminated them from the population by then.
What if I told you that a star is just a really hot and dense cloud of vapor?
The state of Texas has filed suit against Japan and Subaru demanding a recount and a decertifying of the logo.
I thought it was white smoke from the headgasket leak
There are 7 stars in the Subaru logo, you just can’t see the seventh due to the vape cloud blocking it.
Don’t blame the plow guy; I know a few guys who run plows for the DOT, and they’re saints. When everyone else is hiding from the storm, they’re headed straight into it in very old trucks. Plowing is an art, and the good plow guys take it super seriously.
Plow guy’s just doing his job and can’t know if the car is newly off the road with a person inside, or abandoned there hours before. It was midnight in heavy snow; he might not have even seen the vehicle.
“Winter hasn’t even started yet!”
Did the electronics still work when buried? If so, why didn’t he get the window down and dig his way out? Rather freeze than get snow melting to water in the car?
Since the snow would have been shoved up against his tailpipe first as the plow went by, and since he would have been in a bubble under the snow I think if his engine had run he might have eaten a lot of carbon monoxide. That broken belt may have saved his life.
I’m so confused by this scenario. Even if you have bad belts, you should still have lights for a while. The plow guy is a total dick, imo. I’d sue the hell outta them. Especially now that it’s basically a national story.
We’re closed and no longer accepting retirees from other states.
Well, 58 isn’t that old but this whole episode should be a hint for this guy that it’s time to retire to Florida.
I’m pretty surprised he couldn’t dig himself out...I can’t think of many scenarios short of being under an avalanche where it wouldn’t be easy enough to get out on your own. Obviously if he could breathe for 10 hours, there had to be some air flow.
Probably wouldn’t have all of these issues with a lifted big boy truck.
Not sure how “spotty” the signal was (“regular” spotty, or “Sprint, now a part of T-Mobile” spotty), but my first thought was, pull up Google Maps and see where it says you are or are next to, to narrow down the search area.
I know that it’s easy to armchair jockey this one but... 10 hours is a long time.
