This is like saying “Is a sunroof worth the extra cost?” It all depends on what is important to people. For sure, snow tires are the best (I’ve owned quite a few sets). But for the average soccer mom who really won’t drive in the snow much, are you really going to invest in a wheel and tire setup for the winter and dea

And a third way would be “If my truck just went past you on the right, you, sir or madam, are an asshole.”

Buying a Volt is an expensive way to be a cheapskate.

I just want to eat doughnuts.

Andrew, did you not see Breakdown?

I thought that was changed a few years ago, actually.

You know what else? He could have easily written this same column but just positioned it as “I’ll always remember Roy as a Phillie and here’s why.” It would have had the requisite homerism for a Philly columnist without the grossness on display here.

But what I really want to talk about here is the scourge of New Year’s Eve weddings.

“You are the first person...”

When you opt for the AT4, you get a locking rear diff, off-road ready suspension package, Rancho shocks, factory skid plates, all-terrain Michelins, and hill descent control.

I don’t get the hate for the tailgate. It’s an advancement and one that should have come long before now.

No, it doesn’t. If everything looks alike to you, you’re not into cars.

Glad you said this. I hate comments like that because it’s something someone who doesn’t like cars or know anything about cars would say.

I had a 2010 Silverado with the V8 and cylinder deactivation and on highway trips I’d get 18-21 MPG. I now have a 2016 GMC Canyon with the V6 and I get maybe 22-24 on highway trips (20-21 on a typical tank). And despite the Canyon being way more realistic for everyday use and the V6 being plenty brawny, I still miss

Sanity aside, there are people who love the idea of a truck but feel guilty about commuting in a V8. Some of those people will buy the 4 and I feel sad for them.

The pinnacle of Seattle Mariners history. An ALDS win over the Yankees before the Yankees became dominant again. Wheeeee!

I loved Edgar as a hitter but there is no case for him as a HOFer. He wasn’t a HOFer when he played so why are we all nostalgic about him now? Played into his 40s and still didn’t get close to 3000 hits, never was close to an MVP, and only played offense. He was a very good hitter, sorta like Baines. That’s it.

“Our first two calls came from New York and the West Coast, each wanted to be first,” Robert Parker, director of marketing at Lincoln, told the Freep. “One customer was one of these people who could have whatever they wanted, and he wanted to match the Lincoln with his aircraft.

I’ve really noticed Aikman’s lack of salient observations this season. He’s kind of dreadful and just narrates the replay.

I’ve always liked the suggestion that they get 30 or 60 seconds or whatever to review it. If it’s not obvious in that time, call on the field stands and we move on.
