It’s been some time since this list was created, but I do feel like the Shadowrun games deserve some love. Brilliant stories, smooth gameplay. Harebrained Schemes managed two beautiful sequels, equally noteworthy, and even spawned a licensed MMO knockoff from another company that is...less noteworthy, but still fun.

I believe it was Civ III where I noted that they slipped in a Neo Tokyo joke. Once you went beyond their list of city names for your culture, if you weren’t using your own they went into “New Cityname,” but when Tokyo came around again it was as Neo Tokyo. Got a good laugh out of me.
