Probably not. An actual turntable puts out a very low level analog signal, sent over two RCA cables. It needs to be plugged into a specific phono jack on a receiver or preamp to get the proper amplification and RIAA curve applied to it. Or you can buy a special phono pre amp for it.

That last sentence sounds SO wrong

Wow. I live in a tony CT suburb, have excellent credit, and would never buy a new LR, MB, or Porsche. (Somehow I think those last two are related)

"It was hard to find the right car, and tough to get it insured. Driving it every day is impossible, and getting gas is just as difficult. And the car has a few quirks that make it a little more challenging to operate than a normal vehicle."

credit where credit is due - we started "internal arbitration" with Verizon (still have the option to do external with the AAA or BBB, and then small claims court) and the nice lady who handled the case just verbally agreed to wave all charges. Hopefully she follows through, and hopefully they change their system so

How about we go full on geek - remember these? And cleaning the crap off the heads with a qtip and some isopropyl alcohol? And Dolby was AWFUL it took out all the high frequencies! A large part of my audiophile-ness came from hearing the difference between a factory cassette and a high quality LP transfer I made at

Fitting that you show VZW, I've got a good one - went to add a line to my wife's acct back in July for my son as a birthday present. Made the deal over the phone, they were to overnight us an iPhone 5C as part of the deal. Next day Fedex delivers us an empty iphone box. Let me repeat - they NEVER SENT ME A PHONE. We

Please. You're a genius for buying this thing instead of a Toyota. Its a comedy gold mine. If you dumped this, and the Ferrari, you'd need to get a real job. One with....pants! Is the Carmax warranty transferable? Next column you should try to sell it to "Kenny"

I have taps playing solemnly in my home office.

"And if this column is any proof, it seems to be working. Dammit." ROFL

i've got the headline image

or perhaps there are no govt subsidies for flying cars yet

For us in CT it was 58008918 and flip it. One of my buddies even had some huge mathematical expression that would generate it like "if you add x + y and subtract z what do you get?"

More recyclable is debatable, the aluminum used in aerosol cans is extremely high quality and valued for recycling. You can toss an aerosol can into a metal recycling operation with no issue. I could be wrong, but tossing this thing in PET soda bottle stream would likely wreck it.

Guangzhou, China, early May 1997. My first international trip. Traveling alone. Arrive Sunday night, 930 pm or so, from Hong Kong. I guess we were the last flight in, because the whole terminal was empty, and dark, except for our customs line, which was lit. And lined with all of the Chinese military guards, who

I say this as a committed audiophile - the only reason you don't find B&O and Burmeister in Kia is because they don't have the kind of margin to pay that kind of royalty. That's not a technology issue, it's a financial one. I'll bet those two brands would want a lot more from Kia to account for dilution by association

you just described my relationship with my 540. Wonderful car, still kick myself for selling it.

My new facebook cover photo Thanks!

and now we know why those drink cups come with lids
