My second car was a 2006 Mazda6 V6 automatic that I bought from a buddy. I loved that car, it got me a few speeding tickets and into a bit of trouble, but it was fun and reliable. It solidified my appreciation of Mazda for sure. It guzzled has though, thanks lead foot, and I hit a save-the-world phase a while back, so

Not a bad second car! Man I wish they were still making these, I don’t know how much I trust a secondhand ST when I’m back in the market. Live it up!

Man now I *really* want one of these. I hadn’t really even thought of it in years, but it’s neat looking, really unique, good on fuel, and not disgustingly expensive. And there’s a 2016 (the best one) for sale 30 miles from my house. Give me strength...

It’s the regional commuter train Frontrunner, and those passenger trains have a solid set of brakes on them!

I know we have Comment of the Day, but we need a new COTD: Cunt of the Day.

Agreed, I love my 5-speed Mazda2! I threw a rear sway bar on it and took the rear seats out, to make the hatch slightly less useful.

Ditto. I can maneuver infinitely better in my Mazda2 than I can in my Tacoma. While it’s small and I know I’d be beat up if hit by a gigantic SUV, my attentiveness and ability to avoid the brunt of an accident give me much more confidence than a big SUV or truck would.

That’s why I’m so confident the EPA won’t get their way with this. To revoke the waiver they have to prove *with data* that the federal standards will be better than California’s.

They’re either relying on people not knowing the implications behind the EPA disapproving California’s section of the Clean Air Act, so they can bluff California into compliance. Or they’re unaware themselves.

I’m having CP remorse. I balk at $8,000 for a kit car, but this thing is... different. Different in a good way, I think!! To doddle around in this thing and show it off, it’d be great!! It’s obtuse, it’s unique, and it’s striking. The creamsicle orange and tan interior is odd, but delightful. I’d rock it.

Technically, I ‘drove’ a 430,000 pound diesel-electric locomotive a time or two. And if you count all the cars, it grew into several hundred feet long and a couple million pounds. That was pretty ******’ cool.

How about an education lesson then, guy. Instead of throwing baseless insults, how about you realize that the Idiot in Chief is completely wrong about nearly everything he said, and that We The People should call him the hell out? Unless there’s something you want to teach up?

Oh, YES! This is good jalop. That’s a gorgeous, subtle touch.

What book, if you don’t mind? I’m sadly ignorant of the *people* behind the cars and while I’ve seen some of his designs, know nothing of Mr. Colani.

My 2009 Taco is Pyrite Mica, a sort of brownish-green color that I just love. I’m digging the Army Green too, and really wish I’d see more Tacos in exciting colors than the standard shades.

Get your hands on the Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge and other FAA official resources. Free PDF downloads are where I started. Study those, find a facility to get your flight physical and find a good flight school. Take the written on your own to save money hiring an instructor, then your logbook and get to

You know, man. This world-is-burning, (attempted) guilt-inducing, shallow climate change news does not inspire people to make more green choices. Y’all know this, right? Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? Alarmism is just leading to apathy. I should know.

Author’s response: HOW DARE YOU!

Working on it!! I hit 19.5 cruising up the PCH in California. I’m new to the truck. Thanks for the perspective!!

When it came time to take 3 people on a 3+ hour trip to camp, I really grew to want the four full doors. I like the look of the Access Cab Taco, but the double cab and long bed combo would be more useful. Provided I could stuff it into my garage!
