I was a a hardwoods company near the NY PA border of western NY. They are a lumber conglomerate.  I asked what were all the connex boxes for?  He said we ship the hardwood to china for your furniture you buy at ikea. 

I was at a furniture company in Hickory NC.  Used to be 80% of the US furniture was made here. I saw a sweet barrel chair and asked the employee where I could buy one. He laughed and said I can’t afford it. They have boutiques in Miami and LA.
