Came for this, and sympathy, but mostly for this.

Sorry Torch 😩

My Corrado is running, and with the exception of the passenger window regulator, nothing is currently broken. I’d say that’s pretty good.

I’m right there with ya Torch. Super clever

“Taillight expansionists, party of two?”

That car was transformational. I felt like I went from being a kid eating cheeto’s and looking at Countach & EB110 posters, to realizing that less is more.

Don’t come back wearing a dress...

I’m a little late to this party, but my initial reaction was HELL NO. After a brief period of reflection though, that might not be warranted. I had an Aerio/Liana that was hands down the most UNRELIABLE car I’ve ever owned (and I own a Corrado G60 and formerly a R56 MINI). It sort of soured me on the brand, but still

I was wondering the SAME thing. At the end after you hit the kill switch, you looked right at (or so it seemed), and I though — YES, this is the moment, honka-honka...!

This dad-joke deserves WAY more stars. Well done.

YES. Same.

This is pure gold.

I have them in my Corrado and it is one of the few features of the car that really gets on my nerves every time I drive it. One day I’ll convert it to OEM manual belts.

That’s because it DOES look like it was on pimp my ride. Busy doesn’t even begin to describe it. Still looks terrible to me, IMHO.

As sad as it sounds—as someone who lived in Lakewood, WA for a few years and recently moved away—this story does not surprise me. The fact that I just typed out that statement does.

Peg-aboard? Wait, wha...? Oh, we’re not talking about dildos anymore. nvm.

Hey Torch,

I’m not a “gym” type of person either, but I’m definitely one of those people who need the coaches/trainers at the gym to keep me accountable and push me, otherwise I’d do 10 pushups and call it good for the day.

Neutral: I started back at the gym (Orangetheory Fitness) two weeks ago. First week masks were still required which made for terribly uncomfortable workouts, but last week the requirement was lifted for those of us that were vaxxed.

That first gym session though? Yeah. Ouch. I stupidly went balls-to-the-wall like it

I had a ‘88 Jetta 2dr that my aunt (original owner) gave me when I got my license. It had 360K on it when she handed me the keys in 2010. Still had the original 8V engine and 3-speed slushbox (she was vigilant about maintenance and had it serviced by the same shop since new). The transmission lasted another 30K, had

Double ditto.
