They do have a comment section...?
Athletic superiority is largely based on genetics, everyone knows that. However she has a rare genetic condition that places here somewhere between a man and a woman. If she is the only one competing with this condition and coincidentally is the best in the world than I get how others would view that as cheating.…
This is her debut blog with Deadspin. Tough look.
This is disingenuous clickbait. The USMNT player’s association has put out a statemtent of support. It serves no purpose to pit the women against the men in this dispute. Both work for the same employer. My employer doesn’t allow us to comment on legal disputes either. We have a process to refer to an official…
Ignoring the USMNT’s collective statement - which showed support for the WNT - while throwing them under the bus for something they have nothing to do with... and then deleting the comments pointing that out.
THAT’S your takeaway from this? Wow. Sounds like you deserve censored pabulum.
To make it worse Tim Ream’s agency flat out said he wasn't contacted, and they doubt other players were too.
There are many questions I have about this article. But I’ll ask two (non-rhetorically). One, What do you mean by “Deadspin asked”? Did you email them? Write them? Ask them in person? Or something else? And second. Did you asked them in the past couple of weeks? Do you know the USMNT is playing in there own tournament…
It could also be that they have no clue what Deadspin even is
What happened to a lot of the other comments in this thread!?
I will grant that as far a relative skill goes, the USWNT is ahead of the mens team. However, if they were to play each other, the men would crush them. To give you some perspective, the USWNT lost to the FC Dallas U15 boys team 5-2.
What the fuck happened to your comment section? This is not at all what I remember from when I used to visit.
How long ago were the questions sent? Maybe reaching out before a tournament could have been better rather than wait until they are in a tournament.
More of a general journalism question, but when you ask for a comment, how long do you normally give for them to respond before deciding it’s been long enough and you need to publish your story?
Wow, a bunch of people in the middle of a tournament didn’t deign to take a blog’s bait? Crazy stuff. Probably clear proof they’re all misogynists.
Having a hard time getting worked up about this, personally. The ads on Deadspin are frequently intrusive and bad but I turn Adblock off here because God knows I love this place and I’d like y’all to keep Remembering Guys in perpetuity. There are much, much more troubling ad/partner integrations than a league partner…
The content of the draft guide is great, it also looks great and I bet it was a lot of work. People need to get paid for their work. They partner with brands for this. The end.
